Position Overview We are currently seeking an Ecotoxicology Laboratory Technician for our Hunt Valley, MD office. Our facility has dedicated areas for receiving and storing test materials, constant photoperiod and temperature-controlled laboratories, environmental chambers, aeration distribution manifolds in all laboratories, and freshwater and saltwater distribution lines for continuous flow or renewal testing. Responsibilities As a Laboratory Technician, you will perform laboratory manipulations and water quality measurements. You will follow standard operating procedures and document all laboratory activities and data while working with, and carefully handling, small aquatic organisms. Required Qualifications * AA degree (BS preferred) or HS diploma or GED and two years of related experience. * General knowledge of biological/chemical laboratory procedures and practices * Practical experience working with live organisms. * To be able to work well with other people on common goals and projects. * Physical and mental capacity to perform laboratory manipulations and water quality measurements with an attention to timeliness, accuracy, and detail. Note: This position requires specific driving duties. You must be able to pass a motor vehicle records check required by our insurer. Pay Range $41,600 — $47,840 USD The EA pay range for this position is intended as a general guideline and does not guarantee specific compensation or salary.
