Acara Solutions seeks highly qualified candidates to work onsite with our client in Bedford, MA. Interested?

Here's what you'd do:

  • Operate and maintain Ion Beam-Assisted Deposition Equipment and Ion Implanters.
  • Assist in maintaining ion implantation equipment.
  • Work in a cleanroom environment, handling and setting up medical devices for processing.
  • Install and service Ion Source (Filament, PBN).
  • Generate Nitrogen, Oxygen, and Argon ion beams.
  • Generate scanned E-beam per specification.
  • Perform chamber loading/unloading of the standard applicable specification.
  • Perform chamber setup and cleaning procedure.
  • Set up a run per specification in the process controller.
  • Identify equipment major components, equipment hazards, areas, and cleanroom procedures.
  • Follow product handling practices and procedures.
  • Rebuild the Ion Source.
  • Operate vacuum valve controllers.
  • Perform standard process documentation and standard equipment logbook practices.
  • Generate a scanned ion beam per specification.
  • Perform chamber loading/unloading of standard 'hip style' plate per applicable specification.
  • Perform oil change on all mechanical roughing pumps (non-toxic only).
  • Perform regeneration procedure of cryogenic pumps.
  • Operate helium leak detector - Identify and locate external vacuum leaks utilizing the helium leak detector.
  • Perform source housing cleaning and overhaul activities.
  • Perform standard production chamber configurations per product specifications.
  • Perform high voltage, vacuum, and current integrator system calibration.
  • Provide technical training to less-trained technicians.
  • Remove and replace cryopump array assemblies.
  • Perform cryopump compressor servicing and cryopump coldhead decontamination procedure.

Here's what you'll get:

Pay: Up to $32.00/hr. **Depending on experience

Hours: M-F 1st shift 7:45am-4:00pm

Length: Contract to Direct

Job Requirements
Required Skills / Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience with high-vacuum systems or ion beam technology.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience working in a cleanroom environment.
Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
  • Basic electronics knowledge (soldering, schematics).
  • Experience in ISO-regulated or medical device environments.
  • Familiarity with cryopumps, helium leak detection, and PVD systems.
  • Working knowledge of Physical Vapor Deposition or High Vacuum processing equipment.
  • Mechanically inclined - disassemble, clean, rebuild equipment.
  • Be a fanatic about accuracy and precision.
  • Demonstrate a passion for excellence and take pride in the quality of everything you touch and everything you do.
  • Be true to your word.
  • Be punctual for all meetings and phone calls.
  • Employee must be able to read and interpret documents written in English.
  • Employees must be able to have effective communication with fellow employees, supervisors, and management.

  • Company-supplied uniforms or gowning must be worn in designated areas.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is asked to use their arms, hands, and fingers for an extensive period.
  • They must have the ability to bend or kneel as needed.
  • Be capable of climbing step ladders.
  • The employee will frequently sit, stand, walk, and carry items of up to 40 lbs.
  • They must be capable of lifting 40 lbs. unassisted from waist to chest height.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is asked to use their arms, hands, and fingers for an extensive period of time. They must have the ability to bend or kneel as needed. Be capable of climbing step ladders. The employee will be frequently sitting, standing, walking, and carrying items of up to 40lbs. They must be capable of lifting 40 lbs. unassisted from waist to chest high.
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Employee must be able to read and interpret documents written in English. Employees must be able to have effective communication with fellow employees, supervisors, and management.
