Permit Sonoma is seeking someone experienced in planning to be their next Supervising Planner!
Starting salary up to $69.67/hour ($145,409/year) and a competitive total compensation package! *

Supervising Planners are responsible for guiding and supervising work, complex workloads, as well as tracking deadlines for the Planners, Administrative Assistants, and Technicians. Supervising Planners will be leading the process on complex files and environmental reviews. This position works independently and as a team by resolving issues, and providing direction to the permitting process and compliance with the County Code. 

As an ideal candidate, you will possess many of the following:

• Four or more years experience as a professional Planner
• Knowledge of local planning issues and the California Environmental Quality Act
• Multiple years experience with increasingly complex planning projects
• Training in project management and communications for presentation and conflict resolution
• Writing and editing skills for complex reports and analysis
• Intermediate Microsoft Office skills 
• Strong communication abilities for public hearing presentations
• Organized and a strong initiative in problem solving and conflict resolution
