The Role

The Sr Lead Product Mgr Simplification & Modernization Mgmt will be responsible for executing the strategy and management of products through the product life cycle focusing on simplifying and retiring products that facilitate the $1B cost out goal for Lumen. This role is also responsible for the effective management of the end-to-end simplification playbook steps while modernizing Lumen's product portfolio. This role is a collaborative member of a talented team of product managers and program managers that will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver Lumen's evolution to simplified, modern products while helping to drive the simplification of Lumen's network and system ecosystems. This role is critical to our success as a business and with highly visible work that entails collaboration, leadership and working cross functionality across all stakeholders and partners in NETS, Operations, Engineering, Product, Sales and other support functions.

The Main Responsibilities
  • Support and execute the long-term vision and strategy for simplification and modernization of the entire product portfolio to drive $1B cost out initiatives, new composable product architecture, and future revenue streams leveraging growth products in new structure.
  • Contribute to the Product Simplification, Retirement and Modernization roadmaps in partnership with relevant cross-functional teams to execute product strategy and maximize business and customer impact.
  • Partner closely with our AGT and GTM partners on the communication strategy on shifting product focus areas. Mapping shifting product focus, and what to sell in place.
  • Establish and implement customer migration strategies that allows Lumen to retire products while maintaining key revenue streams. Identify migration paths with minimal customer impact or disruption.
  • Engage and cultivate relationships with product partners to influence shared cross-team directions and manage risks or trade-offs.
  • Manage a disciplined approach for execution across programs and initiatives that will drive increased revenue and cost out benefits in the business
What We Look For in a Candidate
  • 8 years of experience across key aspects of the Product Management lifecycle successfully managing products at all stages of the life cycle
  • 8 years of experience in Program Management working in cross functional collaborative environments leading teams in matrix driven organization and facilitating collaboration between Senior leaders in the telecommunications or technology industries
  • Aptitude for solving complex technical and operational problems while driving multiple priorities and programs and delivering against tight timelines in a dynamic environment
  • Experience translating customer market and general business requirements into cohesive product and program plans
  • Outstanding communications skills up down and across the organization Ability to create clarity and drive focus in complex and dynamic contexts
  • Experience working with senior level executives and ability to influence cross functional teams across all levels of the organization
  • Ability to quantitatively and qualitatively understand complex problems prioritize business and customer needs
  • BSBA or equivalent education and experience in customer focused leadership position
  • Collaborative and inspiring leadership style
  • Operates with a growth continuous improvement mindset
  • Leads with empathy and accountability
Compensation
This information reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience and other relevant factors.

Location Based Pay Ranges

$129,639 - $172,852 in these states: AL AR AZ FL GA IA ID IN KS KY LA ME MO MS MT ND NE NM OH OK PA SC SD TN UT VT WI WV WY
$136,121 - $181,494 in these states: CO HI MI MN NC NH NV OR RI
$142,603 - $190,137 in these states: AK CA CT DC DE IL MA MD NJ NY TX VA WA
