About Salesforce

We're Salesforce, the Customer Company, inspiring the future of business with AI+ Data +CRM. Leading with our core values, we help companies across every industry blaze new trails and connect with customers in a whole new way. And, we empower you to be a Trailblazer, too - driving your performance and career growth, charting new paths, and improving the state of the world. If you believe in business as the greatest platform for change and in companies doing well and doing good - you've come to the right place.

Our team is looking for a Product Manager to lead our Slack Platform Core Experience team. The Slack Platform is critical for partners to build integrations with Slack and for customers to build custom solutions that extend Slack in ways that are unique to their business. Improving the usability and power of our app ecosystem is a top company priority. We have seen that customers who deeply engage with apps in Slack have significantly higher satisfaction

This role will focus on defining the future of the app experience for all Slack users. You will own the end-to-end journey, from how users discover and install the right tools, to how they interact with apps through notifications and conversational AI, to how apps can provide deeper utility by integrating with core features. As a senior member of the team, you will be responsible for driving the product vision and execution for some of our most important surfaces. This role calls for a proactive leader with exceptional taste in user experience, a deep sense of ownership, and the ability to autonomously drive ambitious projects from initial concept to successful launch and iteration.

Your Impact:

  • Lead the product vision for your area, and actively participate in driving the vision for the broader platform. Ensure that it aligns with the overall product and company strategy. Be an expert on the domain, the market, the trends. Evangelize the vision constantly so all collaborators are aligned, have context, and understand where we are going.

  • Collaborate across teams. We win or lose as a team. Product Managers play a meaningful role in creating alignment between software engineering and other groups, such as Product Marketing, Customer Success, Sales, and Support. Collaboration is essential to the job, and collective ownership/responsibility for the full platform that we're working on is a key team expectation.

  • Represent the customer. Be the champion and voice of customers. Build impactful, personal customer relationships. Bring the customer's voice into the creation process. Own requirements, specifications, and release plans.

  • Represent partners. Partners building on the Slack platform make Slack a more valuable product to our customers. We want to bring partners into the ideation and development process to make their integrations easier to discover and more valuable to our mutual customers.

  • Strive for the best customer experience possible. Partner closely with UX to develop, test, and deliver assets to engineering. Work with the technology team to deliver an extraordinary product driven by customers, prospects, partners, and internal product experts. Drive the end-to-end feature delivery cycle.

  • Measure success. A feature's release does not dictate success. Define what success means for each feature and each function before it even goes to development. Develop ways to constantly define and monitor success.

  • Communicate clearly and efficiently. Coordinate product release communications for your components. Define expectations for engineering teams and hold them accountable for success and failures. Work closely with Product Marketing Managers to promote your products both internally and externally and ensure a cohesive message.

  • Represent Salesforce as a domain and product authority at customer interactions, corporate events, and community forums.

Required Skills:

  • 3+ years of product management experience (or relevant experience)

  • Experience in taking one or more products through the full product cycle, from proposal to launch

  • Experience as a product owner leading Agile teams at a technology company over multiple product releases

  • Experience building Enterprise SaaS products

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with Slack platform

  • Experience end user experiences that are extended by 3rd party developers

  • Ability to handle multiple competing priorities in a fast paced environment

  • Comfort in high-level business discussions with internal and external executives

  • Problem-solving and critical thinking skills, technical competence, excellent communications skills with the ability to clearly articulate complex ideas
