Position Summary

Lenovo's North America Retail Marketing team is seeking a Retail Marketing Manager to drive go-to-market (GTM) strategy, execution, and performance across our key retail partners. You will act as the "CMO of the Partner," leading the merchandising, advertising, promotions, and omnichannel brand activations for Lenovo's Consumer Portfolio at retail.

This role requires a strategic thinker and strong executor who can drive alignment across Lenovo's Sales, Category, Brand Marketing, Product Development, Operations and Finance Shopper Insights, and Media teams, as well as external retail partners (Marketing, Merchandising, and Operations teams). This role reports to Sr. Retail Partner Marketing Manager and works closely on driving 360 account strategy.

Key Responsibilities

Retail Marketing Strategy & Execution

  • Own and drive the Retail Marketing Relationship across Lenovo's Consumer Portfolio at key retail accounts, negotiating terms of and own the full scope of the marketing relationship including managing budgets, available marketing tactics and programs, content implementation, and performance metrics.
  • Develop and execute full year omnichannel GTM marketing plans for key retailers that integrate sales, category, and digital growth strategies, while effectively managing multiple concurrent programs to drive account sales, brand awareness, and business goals.
  • Strategize and manage media campaigns-including on-site, off-site, social, SEO, sponsored search, and sponsored products-ensuring alignment with branding, budgets, and timelines.
  • Define and track KPIs, establishing benchmarks by program to measure program effectiveness and presenting results to Lenovo leadership.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Category, and Digital Business Development Teams to align with strategic Alliance Partners (Intel, AMD, Qualcomm, Google, Microsoft, NVIDIA etc.) and maximize overall impact.

Retail Marketing Activation & Customer Experience

  • Lead best-in-class merchandising, advertising, and promotional initiatives that drive engagement and conversion across in-store and online ecosystems.
  • Execute partner/retailer-led marketing programs through collaboration with account teams to optimize brand presence and performance.
  • Manage co-marketing efforts with industry partners, adhering to co-branding requirements while maximizing program impact.
  • Develop Lenovo-led media strategies with internal teams (brand, e-commerce, PR) and media agencies to enhance brand visibility and retail partner success.
  • Deliver a category-leading brand presence across in-store and online retail partner touchpoints, aligning endcaps, sales planners, digital storefronts, product pages, retail media.
  • Drive customer experience excellence by optimizing Point of Sale (POS) marketing with in-store product demos, branded graphics, experiential digital, and assisted sales programs.

Analytics & Business Insights

  • Conduct competitive market analysis and consumer trend assessments while maintaining ongoing knowledge of consumer buying behaviors to refine marketing programs and drive strategic action.
  • Analyze marketing program (e.g., promotions, merchandising, brand stores) impact, to measure ROI and identify customer journey insights to drive future activations.
  • Develop and present Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) with key retailers, translating performance data into actionable strategies.

Collaboration & Leadership

  • Ensure Lenovo's marketing strategies align with retailer priorities by serving as the voice of retail partners internally.
  • Manage content across NA consumer teams and Lenovo WW, ensuring optimal usage in media, retailer websites, and in-store activations.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to support key product launches at retail. May involve preparing for launch online, in-store, or both.
  • Lead cross-functional coordination with marketing, sales, and executive leadership teams to integrate NA and global campaigns into retail strategies.
  • Stay ahead of PC industry and marketing trends, applying insights into marketing strategies to enhance Lenovo's retail effectiveness.
  • Deliver polished presentations on marketing initiatives and results to internal leadership, retailer accounts, and industry partners.

Qualifications & Experience

Required Qualifications:

  • 6+ years' experience in retail marketing, omnichannel merchandising, and/or digital marketplaces.
  • 3+ years of experience in scalable media activations and growth marketing.
  • Experience in leading NA retail environments/accounts (e.g., Best Buy, Walmart, Amazon, Costco, etc.).
  • Strong expertise in marketing analytics, promotional ROI measurement, and shopper insights.
  • Ability to develop and execute customer-centric promotions and merchandising strategies.
  • Excellent budget management, negotiation, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Proven track record of managing external stakeholders and agency relationships.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills ensuring alignment with senior management and execution of the marketing vision.
  • Strong ability to synthesize insights and recommend data-driven optimizations.
  • Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint for data analysis and presentations.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Retail marketing experience in consumer tech.
  • Experience with data-driven performance marketing and A/B testing strategies.
  • Deep knowledge and understanding of Alliance partners programs
  • Proficient in Monday.com, Dynamics, Ariba and other business/project management tools.
