Responsibilities

The Vice President (VP) of Product Management oversees the strategic and tactical product management function. Develop and execute comprehensive product strategies to drive customer adoption, retention, and revenue growth. Enable technology and tools to offer our customers a flagship travel management product. Lead a team of professionals and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including service delivery, sales, marketing, and executive leadership. Shape our product offering, product delivery, positioning, messaging, and go-to-market strategies, ultimately contributing to the company's success in the travel industry.

Develop and Execute Product Strategy, Vision and Roadmap:

    Develop and communicate a clear product vision and strategy that aligns with the company's business objectives. Identify market opportunities and define the product roadmap.
  • Define product vision and strategy based on wide-ranging inputs from clients, stake holder, markets, and desired commercial outcomes related to the business objectives.
  • Identify target customer segments, understand their needs, and develop compelling value propositions for our products and services.
  • Lead market research initiatives to gather customer insights, industry trends, and competitive intelligence; conduct profitability and ROI analysis; expect to use data to make, justify, and measure R&D investment decisions and to ensure products meet business objectives.

Product Development and Lifecycle Management:

  • Oversee the entire product lifecycle, from ideation to launch, planning, development, implementation, and post-launch support. The product portfolio also includes SaaS, white-labeled, and private-labeled products.
  • Ensure that products meet market needs, customer expectations, and business goals.
  • Develop and enforce policies and procedures to ensure products and respective product technology partners comply with securities and standards protocols, data integrity, SOX, GDPR...etc., and legal and regulatory compliance.
  • Review product/vendor agreements SOWs and manage vendor relationships to procure resources and technology.
  • Effectively prioritize, coordinate, and lead products that meet and exceed objectives and timelines.
  • Manage product quality and ensure products are reliable, safe, efficient...etc., to meet customer expectations.

Team Leadership and Collaboration:

  • Build and lead a high-performing product team. Lead, mentor, and develop the product management team to achieve high performance. Conduct regular performance reviews and provide coaching to team members.
  • Foster a collaborative and innovative culture within the team and across departments, promoting cross-functional collaboration and knowledge sharing. Work closely with cross-functional teams, including technology, service delivery, sales, marketing, and customer support, ensuring product success.
  • Collaborate with the executive leadership team to align product initiatives with overall business goals and objectives.
  • Work with Internova information security, legal, and compliance teams to ensure product and technology partners comply with established standards and protocols.
  • Act as a strategic partner to the sales and marketing team, providing product expertise and market insights.

Go-to-Market Planning and Execution:

  • Develop and implement go-to-market strategies, including product positioning, pricing, and promotional plans.
  • Develop product messaging and content that effectively communicates and promotes new products and services, product benefits, features, and competitive advantages. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, marketing, and sales to develop go-to-market plans for new product launches, development of marketing collateral, sales enablement materials, and product-related content, ensuring consistency and alignment with brand guidelines.
  • Coordinate product launches, pricing strategies, and promotional activities to maximize product adoption and revenue growth.
  • Analyze market feedback and performance metrics to refine go-to-market strategies and optimize future product releases.

Innovation, Improvement, and Industry Thought Leadership:

  • Drive innovation and continuous improvement in product offerings and processes, ensuring ALTOUR remains at the forefront of the travel industry by implementing cutting-edge technologies and methodologies
  • Stay up to date with industry trends, market dynamics, and competitive landscape to identify new opportunities and risks.
  • Establish yourself and the company as a thought leader in the travel industry by speaking at conferences, contributing to industry publications, and participating in relevant forums.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with industry influencers, partners, and key stakeholders to drive product/brand awareness and thought leadership.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Technology, engineering, or a related field
  • Master's degree or MBA preferred.
  • At least 10-15 years of experience in technology product management, with a proven track record in managing and leading product initiatives, preferably in the travel industry or related field.
  • Proven ability to lead and inspire teams, with strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
  • Technical acumen and deep understanding of the software development lifecycle, agile, and waterfall methodologies.
  • Deep knowledge of technology, AI and emerging technology trends.
  • Experience managing diverse product portfolios, including SaaS products, white-labeled and private-labeled products.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey complex concepts and ideas,
  • Cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder engagement, present at customer forums and seminars
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to leverage data and insights to drive decision-making.
  • Strong focus on customer needs and experience, with the ability to translate feedback into actionable product improvements.
  • Demonstrated success in developing and executing product strategies that drive customer adoption, revenue growth, and market penetration.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills with a track record of building and developing high-performing teams. Managing virtual teams and being a good team player
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
