Enterprise Applications Manager

UFP Technologies is a designer and custom manufacturer of comprehensive solutions for medical devices, sterile packaging, and other highly engineered custom products. UFP is an important link in the medical device supply chain and a valued outsource partner to most of the top medical device manufacturers in the world. The Company's single-use and single-patient devices and components are used in a wide range of medical devices and packaging for minimally invasive surgery, infection prevention, wound care, wearables, orthopedic soft goods, and orthopedic implants.

Location: The position will be on-site full-time in St. Charles, IL. The position holder will need to be within commuting distance (within 45 min).

The Enterprise Applications Manager is responsible for the planning and execution of integrating computer applications to manage business operations and increase employee productivity which includes selection, installation, upgrading, and daily maintenance of these software applications.

Enterprise Applications Manager Duties and Responsibilities:

• Leads a team of business analysts with duties that include business process analysis and optimization, mapping of software application functionality to these processes, and report development to maximize employee productivity and improve decision making throughout the business.
• Provides data and assists in the analysis of data from various applications.
• Manages the application helpdesk efforts to respond to requests for functional and technical assistance for corporate applications.
• Establishes and maintains relationships with service providers to supplement the efforts of the internal business analysis team.
• Continually optimizes the application environment and footprint to meet the changing needs of the business.
• Facilitates decisions to set priorities for application improvements and other assistance requests with application stakeholders and is then held accountable for following through on the agreed priorities.
• Manages the licensing of ERP and other corporate applications to ensure the business needs are met with the most cost-effective licensing strategy possible.
• Develops reports and other technical solutions. This is a hands-on managerial role that contributes to helpdesk and development efforts directly.
• Ensures cross training of the applications team to provide redundant knowledge across different members of the team.
• Provides Project Management for large and small ERP implementations and related projects.
• Performs all other duties as assigned or needed.

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or business disciplines preferred but equivalent experience considered.
• Specialized training or demonstrated knowledge of ERP functionality.
• Previous supervisory or managerial experience preferred.
• Experience with managing and negotiating software license fees and maintenance.
• Technical abilities in data conversions, report writing and other techno-functional areas.
• SSRS and heavy MS-SQL experience highly preferred.
• Previous ERP implementation and upgrade experience.
• Willingness to travel.
• Up to 25% travel on average. Heavier at appropriate times during a remote project.
