IT Strategy & Innovation Specialist Your tasks
Position Summary: TUV SUD America seeks a highly motivated and forward-thinking IT Strategy & Innovation Specialist to support the strategic direction and digital innovation of the IT Department. This full-time, exempt position reports to the Director of IT and focuses on coordinating IT strategy initiatives, identifying emerging technologies, and fostering innovation across the organization. The ideal candidate has strong project coordination skills, a passion for technology and strategy, and the ability to connect business needs with IT capabilities in a global context. Responsibilities: - Strategic Vision & Planning Contribute to the development and continuous refinement of the IT strategy aligned with regional and global goals. Assist in creating strategic roadmaps for digital innovation and technology adoption. Develop and track KPIs to evaluate the effectiveness of strategic initiatives. Support the evaluation and selection of new tools and platforms in alignment with business needs. - Innovation and Technology Scouting Monitor industry trends in areas such as AI, cloud computing, automation, and emerging enterprise technologies. Identify and recommend innovative solutions and technologies that can enhance IT capabilities and business performance. Support the prototyping of new digital concepts to validate feasibility and business value. - Project Coordination & Implementation Coordinate strategic IT projects, working with stakeholders across departments and regions. Document project plans, timelines, and deliverables; ensure alignment with organizational goals. Track progress of strategic projects and support risk mitigation efforts. - Cross-Functional & International Collaboration Act as a liaison between IT and business units to ensure that IT strategy reflects business priorities. Engage with colleagues across TUV SUD regions (especially in Germany) to align global strategies and share innovation practices. Facilitate knowledge exchange between technical and non-technical stakeholders. - Communication & Change Enablement Prepare executive-level presentations, reports, and recommendations for IT leadership. Support organizational change efforts related to digital transformation and strategic initiatives. Promote a culture of continuous innovation and strategic awareness across the IT department. Your qualifications
Education and Experience: Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, Management Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience). Minimum 3 years of experience in IT strategy, business analysis, or digital transformation roles. Exposure to emerging technologies such as AI, cloud platforms, or automation tools. Experience coordinating strategic initiatives or cross-functional technology projects. Familiarity with innovation frameworks (e.g., Design Thinking) is a plus. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Strong strategic and analytical thinking. Excellent communication and documentation skills (verbal and written). High organizational and project coordination capabilities. Ability to understand complex technical topics and explain them in business terms. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (especially PowerPoint and Excel); experience with BI tools (e.g., Power BI) is a plus. Fluency in English; German language skills are a strong plus.
