Your Opportunity The Warehouse Delivery Driver delivers supply orders to each department. Drivers license and good driving record REQUIRED! Compensation $16.50 HOURLY! Core Responsibilities
Conduct inspections of vehicle before departing to deliver goods and upon return from route Pack and load products onto trucks according to specifications Uses electric pallet jack. Delivery orders to customers on assigned routes according to time schedule Maintain ongoing communication with route dispatcher Unload goods according to specifications Obtain delivery confirmations from each drop location Clean delivery vehicle, both interior and exterior Follow DOT regulations and safety standards Will be cross-trained and perform same duties as Warehouse Specialist, including the following
Receives all incoming freight and verify its integrity. Performs local pickup of supply merchandise as necessary. Monitors stock levels and notifies buyers of critical stock levels. Fills faxed requisitions on a daily basis. Ensures that all items requested have the correct item number, data entered and charged to the correct customer. Performs monthly inventory audits and weekly audit verification at the direction of the Warehouse Supervisor. Restock shelves from inbound freight. Fills requisitions from walk in customers on a daily basis. Assists all customers with supply needs. Adheres to all company policies and procedures. Conducts all transactions in a courteous professional manner. Maintains a clean, orderly and safe warehouse environment. Responsible for being in compliance with all environmental laws and procedures to which Smithfield Hog Production subscribes. Report all environmental issues immediately to their Supervisor. Read and understand the company's emergency notification process and will be responsible for reviewing that policy at their worksite.

High school diploma or GED, preferred. Current Valid Driver's License with acceptable driving record. Working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and Spreadsheets etc. Ability to work independently. Forklift Certification required or possess the ability to become certified. Excellent oral and written communications skills with a focus on customer service. Must demonstrate punctuality and dependability. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Ability to work well with others in fast paced, dynamic environment. Ability to be respectful, approachable and team oriented while building strong working relationships and a positive work environment.
