Description

The District Operations Auditor role is responsible for completing Operational Audits in Maine, Vermont, New York, New Jersey, Massachusetts, Pennsylvania, Delaware, & Virginia to obtain important business intelligence. Through scheduled visits to our customer's stores, the District Operations Auditor will help our Vendors and ReaderLink succeed with merchandising excellence, maximizing sales, and improve efficiencies. The role will be reporting to the Regional Operations Audit Manager. ReaderLink will provide a car to utilize during scheduled visits to customer stores.

What You Will Be Doing:

  • Build key relationships within the district; excellent communication skills are essential to this function.
  • Build partnerships with store management by meeting regularly during each audit visit, discuss sales opportunities and determine if Merchandisers are meeting their service expectations, and ours.
  • Promote the ReaderLink brand.
  • Conduct operational audits, evaluate ReaderLink procedures/processes, to streamline and improve efficiencies.
  • Provide ReaderLink with valuable business intelligence obtained from store personnel and vendors.
  • Analyze sales and schedule store visits in underperforming markets to determine issues and help increase sales.
  • Facilitate vendor training and store visits to help achieve overall merchandising excellence and maximize sales.
  • Create training documents and videos to be utilized as teaching tools.
  • Follow-up on store issues to ensure vendors address per standard operationally, and issues not repeated.
  • Monitor and visit new stores and remodels. Meet with Store Planners to create a smooth transition.
  • Promote a team environment.
  • Provide weekly market recaps.
  • Submit expenses weekly.
  • Other duties may be assigned, directed, or requested.

What You Will Need:

  • High school diploma or general educational development (GED) diploma or certificate required.
  • Associate or bachelor's degree in Business or a related field is preferred.
  • Strong to advanced experience in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook is required.
  • Three (3) to five (5) years of Field Merchandising experience is preferred.
  • Self-starter with ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent administrative and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - in person, phone, e-mail, written, presentations, etc.
  • Skills to accurately report information by due dates/deadlines.
  • Ability to use common sense to solve problems and improve existing processes.
  • Work is performed in the field at retail stores 4 days a week with 1 office day.
  • Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift up to 75 pounds.
  • Willingness to travel as needed, including overnights (avg 6 to 8 overnights a month).
  • Fast learner, team player, and aggressive problem solver.
  • Desire to advance and grow within the company.
  • Must have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to speak with all levels of the organization and outside partners.
  • Must be proficient in basic mathematics: addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
  • Ability to do algebra, calculate figures and amounts and apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

Salary: $55,000.00- $67,000.00
