A Front Row Seat to Innovation Our Respiratory Therapists provide family-centered care as demonstrated by recognizing the patient, family and/or designee as a full partner in providing compassionate and coordinated care based on respect for patient's preferences, values, and needs. They also assumes an active role in clinical education of patients, families and staff; and functions as a role model within respiratory and inter-professional teams, fostering open communication, mutual respect, teamwork, and shared decision-making to achieve quality patient care. Respiratory therapists at Children's Colorado are an integral part of the multidisciplinary team. We rely on our RTs to drive innovative care practices and improve outcomes for our patients and families. Respiratory Therapists on our Anschutz Medical Campus work in our Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU), Cardiac Progressive Care Unit (CPCU), Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (CICU), Emergency Department and in acute care (post-surgical unit, rehabilitation unit, hematology/oncology, general care and pulmonary care). Children's Colorado offers ample opportunities for professional growth and development. Respiratory therapists can join a core team, such as ECMO, Flight Team, research and more. RTs at Children's Colorado have also moved into management roles and became educators to train new respiratory therapists in pediatric best practices. Salary Information As part of our Total Rewards package, Children's Colorado offers an annual employee bonus program that rewards eligible team members based on organizational performance. If organizational goals are met for the year, the bonus is paid out the following April.
