Stout is looking for an Associate with 2-5 years of experience to join our DCI (Disputes, Claims & Investigations) Wage and Hour practice team. This is a full-time position which offers full benefits, 401K, and potential for annual bonuses.

Stout offers deep experience working on behalf of our clients to analyze complex data in connection with high-stakes business litigation and general economic consulting. Associates work closely with other staff members and experts to analyze data and provide independent, thoughtful analyses.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Review and analyze large quantities of data and assist in developing complex analyses.

  • Support multiple concurrent projects and anticipate project scope, timing, and budget issues.

  • Develop and maintain productive working relationships with team members.

  • Manage competing client expectations and work with staff to accomplish deadlines and deliverables.

  • Contribute to work plans, resource needs, and methodologies to optimize project output.

  • Assist in managing risks and utilize creative problem-solving techniques.

  • Ensure timely completion of project deliverables while maintaining a high quality of work-product.

  • Support written analyses, reports, and presentations to clients.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university, preferably in Economics, Mathematics, or a related field.

  • Two to five years of experience in wage and hour consulting or a related field.

  • Working knowledge of advanced database management and analytical tools such as SAS, SQL, STATA, R, etc.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft suite skills, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access.

  • Strong written and oral communication and presentation skills.

  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to work on multiple, complex projects in diverse areas.

  • Strong teamwork, time management, and problem-solving skills.

  • Intellectual curiosity and the ability to self-motivate.

  • Rigorous attention to detail and commitment to quality control.

  • Flexibility to adapt to changing project requirements, timetables, and leadership.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, interact effectively with project teams and clients, and balance the demands and scheduling needs of multiple clients.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in data review and analysis.

  • Proficiency with SAS or other advanced analytical tools.
