Job Overview

As an Applications Engineer at Advantest, you will play a pivotal role in delivering technical expertise for mixed-signal, analog, RF, and mm wave RF IC device testing solutions to our strategic customers using Advantest 93K test equipment. This position involves both pre-sales and post-sales support, ensuring quick implementation and execution of solutions. You will work on cutting-edge technology, collaborating closely with our customers, R&D, and marketing teams in a cross-functional, international environment. This role is ideal for a software or electrical engineer with a strong test engineering background, in-depth knowledge of the V93000 system, and strong software skills for writing test programs and tooling to meet customer needs.

• Translate customer requirements into technical solutions, collaborating with Advantest R&D and marketing to identify potential gaps in the roadmap and scope out solutions.
• Leverage experience in RF technology, including Bluetooth, LTE, 5G, 802.15.4, UWB, mmWave, WiGig, or Radar.
• Demonstrate a solid understanding of RF / mm wave device architecture.
• Interpret load board schematics and apply knowledge of RF Matching and De-embedding.
• Utilize knowledge in test sockets and probe cards / probe technologies.
• Develop test code in programming languages like JAVA and scripting languages like Python.
• Integrate Advantest products and services at the system/solutions level into the customer's environment.
• Ensure the design, scoping, and technical validity of solutions to achieve the customer's business objectives.
• Collaborate closely with other applications engineers in our European and Asian subsidiaries.
• Travel up to 25% to various customer and Advantest sites.
