Senior World Artist, Electronic Arts, Inc., Los Angeles, CA. Create animation of worlds and environments from individual assets through to entire levels or sets for video games. Deconstruct concept art and style guides into initial grey-blocks and asset breakdowns. Collaborate with designers and other domains to ensure levels and assets support the gameplay. Create final assets, and maximize opportunities for reuse, modular construction, and technical efficiency. Create terrain using heightfields, modeled elements, and use object scattering/placement tools. Set dressing levels, and convey a sense of depth and storytelling. Utilize Perforce and troubleshoot technical challenges as they arise. Construct briefs, assemble reference material, and oversee work of other artists. Telecommuting Permitted. (SRWA-S-103-LACA)
40 hrs/week, Mon-Fri, 8:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. Salary Range: $134,742-$176,300/yr.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Art, Animation or in related field and two (2) years of experience in the job offered or in a 3D artist-related occupation.
In lieu of a Bachelor's degree, employer will accept two (2) years of additional work experience in the job offered or in a 3D artist-related occupation.
Qualifying experience must include two (2) years in each of the following skills:
· Maya; · Unreal or Unity Engine; · Zbrush; · 3D Modeling; · Texturizing Techniques; · Perforce; and · Environmental Modeling.
Any suitable combination of education, training and/or experience is acceptable.
