Overview

Job Purpose

The primary responsibility of the Fixed Income Analyst position will be to oversee the evaluation process for corporate credit instruments as part of ICE Data Services' Corporate Evaluations Group. Strong knowledge of fixed income markets, particularly High Yield & Convertible Bonds, and experience in the corporate bond market is a must.

Responsibilities

  • Daily evaluation of fixed income securities focusing on High Yield & Convertible debt using proprietary models & tools
  • Credit and quote research and analysis of primary and secondary markets
  • Establishing and maintaining market contacts; interaction with market participants
  • Interpretation of market information and applying this to the evaluation process
  • Responding to time critical daily customer inquiries and challenges
  • Researching and furthering specialist knowledge of assigned markets
  • Monitoring news and market conditions and providing commentary as required
  • Undertaking of ad-hoc research projects as directed by management

Knowledge and Experience

  • The candidate must possess a strong understanding of global financial markets, and in particular, a conceptual understanding of the market forces impacting fixed income movements and the determinants of security valuation.
  • Knowledge of the UAT process for the software development life-cycle is helpful as the candidate is required to participate in new product and software development. Ability to collaborate with business analysts teams is required
  • Knowledge of practical applications of statistical analysis
  • PC literate, proficient in Microsoft Office; SQL skills are beneficial but not required.
  • Excellent interpersonal, analytical, and communication skills
  • Ability to work under stringent time constraints, multi-task and prioritize workload
  • Ability to digest market information and articulate in a structured and concise manner
  • Team player with the willingness to take direction from senior management
  • Independent self-starter, able to sustain productivity in a fast-paced environment
  • Willingness to work the hours necessary to achieve daily objectives
  • Ability to facilitate market participant relationships

New York Base Salary Range

The expected base salary for this role, if located in New York, is between $82,000 - 112,000 USD. The base salary range does not include Intercontinental Exchange's incentive compensation. While we provide this range as general guidance, at ICE we compensate employees based on the skillset and experience of the individual. Regular full-time ICE employees are eligible for a suite of competitive employee benefits, including healthcare coverage (medical, dental and vision), a 401(k) plan, life insurance, time off, and paid leave for qualifying circumstances.
