Together We Grow - One Mission, One Team - With a Commitment to Serve Scope of Work: This position serves coordinates and expedites flow of labor, materials, parts, and assemblies within and between departments in accord with production and work completion schedules or department supervisors' priorities. Responsibilities:
- Works with the department supervisors to ensure that all orders are purchased at the lowest possible cost in the appropriate timeline.
- Reviews all new supplier orders. Contacts supplies to determine classification, terms of sale and other necessary information. Ensures that supplier is accurately set up in MAXIMO.
- Reviews all contracts presented with order, modify and signed. Identify orders where contracts are necessary, secure those contracts and process orders.
- Places orders to appropriate suppliers
- Expedites problems regarding order delivery, damaged shipments, shipping errors, etc. Assists with resolving billing errors.
- Performs cost/price analysis for routine orders.
- Oversees and follows up on pending and return orders to ensure processing is accomplished in minimal timeframe.
- Meets with suppliers.
- Ensures compliance with applicable government regulations. (FAR)
- Confer with customers, supervisors, sub-contractors, and others to exchange information and resolve problems.
- Reviews requisitions and provides delivery information to departments according to job order priorities and anticipated availability of materials.
- Arranges intra-shop and inter-shop transfer of service orders, materials, and may transfer materials using a truck/vehicle.
- Verifies materials as appropriate for specific jobs.
- May compute the amount of number of materials needed for specific jobs and apply knowledge of products and processes.
- May prepare reports of quantity and type of materials on hand.
- Adhere to company policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Must have a minimum of five (5) years administrative work experience including one (1) year work experience with MAXIMO preferred.
- Must possess basic computer skills with the Microsoft Word & Excel.
- Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Must be able to continually prioritize, reprioritize, and multi-task.
- Extensive knowledge of various office software packages.
- Must be able to successfully complete a National Agency Check with Inquiries (Tier 1) background check.
- Must be able to perform simple arithmetic computations.
- Must be able to work alternate shift schedules when necessary to meet the customer's mission requirements, including weekends and holidays.
- Must possess and maintain a valid state driver's license and a safe driving record, in accordance with company policy, to operate vehicles or equipment as required for the position.
Physical Demands / Work Environment:
- May require sitting, bending, stooping and stretching, and reaching above head level. Ability to occasionally lift and move up to 25 lbs. Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard, photocopier, telephone, calculator and other office equipment.
- Must be able to work on-call, alternate, and extended shift schedules when necessary to meet the mission requirements, including weekends and holidays.
- Work may be performed indoors or outdoors in varying weather conditions. Must be able to work in confined spaces, at heights, and around various hazards with appropriate PPE.
