Continuation past the termlengthdiscussed willbebasedonuniversityneed,performance,and/oravailabilityoffunding.POSITION SPECIFICS The laboratory of Assistant Professor Kyan D'Angelo in the Department of Chemistry, at The Pennsylvania State University, seeks to fill a postdoctoral research position in the area of synthetic organic chemistry. Research will focus on the development and application of catalytic transformations broadly applicable to the synthesis of complex organic molecules. The ideal postdoctoral candidate will have research experience in one or more of the following areas: organic synthesis, homogeneous catalysis, or physical organic chemistry. The successful candidate should demonstrate extensive experience in developing, studying, and applying catalytic transformations for the synthesis of organic compounds. Applicants must have recently received, or be scheduled to receive, a Ph.D. in an area broadly relevant to our research program by the time employment starts. The individual should be self-motivated and is expected to lead their own individual projects, as well as contribute to collaborative research efforts.
