Description
The Senior Internal Auditor plays a key role in providing quality assurance and advice throughout the organization. The Senior Internal Auditor has the opportunity to work closely with senior management, utilize and further develop subject matter expertise, and incorporate the latest internal audit methodologies and tools.
Here's what you can expect from the job and what you need to be successful:
Job Duties:
  • Conduct internal audits for functions/processes not included in co-sourced audit plan
  • Perform Continuous Audit procedures, providing leadership with recommendations for policy, procedure and practice improvements
  • Assist in co-sourced audits by testing processes and controls and facilitating interactions with business unit
  • Advise business units on implementation of audit recommendations and validate implementation
  • Investigate allegations of employee fraud or misconduct, as needed
  • Report regularly to Supervisory Committee on Continuous Audit observations and trends
  • Maintain a comprehensive knowledge base of operational risks, controls, applicable laws/regulations, and best practices
  • Work with business units and audit data staff to design data extracts from the core and other key systems for import into data mining software and to develop system reports
Essential Skills:
  • Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or business-related field, required
  • Minimum 5 years' experience auditing required, preferably in the financial services industry
  • Ability to work well under pressure, prioritize work to handle multiple assignments and deliverables simultaneously with the flexibility to meet changing needs and demands
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; able to express ideas concisely and logically
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills; ability to resolve complex issues with minimal direction
  • Ability to deliver effective stakeholder presentations to various audiences
  • Ability to foster strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite; expert knowledge of Excel including use of pivot tables and macros
  • Certification: CIA (Certified Internal Auditor) or CPA (Certified Public Accountant) is required
Location: Hillsboro Corporate Office - Hillsboro, OR 97124 (HYBRID)
Target Compensation in Hillsboro, OR: $90,000 to $110,000 + annual bonus
