POSITION SUMMARY
Under the supervision of the Director or a staff physician, the clinician evaluates, diagnoses, and recommends treatment for individuals with mental illness. This role provides both individual and group psychotherapy and is responsible for ensuring the delivery of quality patient care and therapeutic treatment.
COMPETENCIES
A. Education:
Master's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Nursing, or a related Mental Health discipline. Must hold appropriate licensure to provide psychotherapy. A comprehensive understanding of clinical mental health practices in a healthcare setting is required.
B. Knowledge:
Thorough knowledge of organizational policies and procedures, as well as principles related to the evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of psychiatric conditions. This knowledge is typically acquired through one to two years of experience in psychiatric therapy within a clinical environment.
C. Skills:
Strong analytical skills are required to collect, assess, and interpret clinical data for evaluation and treatment planning. Must be able to formulate individualized treatment plans, monitor progress, and adjust care as needed. Excellent interpersonal skills are essential for delivering effective therapy and collaborating with physicians, social workers, and other healthcare professionals. A designated portion of time will be spent in direct patient care, as defined by program requirements.
D. Licensure/Certification:
Must hold an active and valid license appropriate to the discipline, which may include:
- Licensed Certified Social Worker - Clinical (LCSW-C)
- Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC)
- Licensed Clinical Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LCADC)
- Licensed Clinical Marriage and Family Therapist (LCMFT)
E. Experience:
A minimum of two to three years of relevant clinical experience is required.
Salary Range: Minimum $34.11/hour - Maximum $56.34/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.
In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
