In SHSS, the Department of Criminal Justice and Criminology (CJC) offers Bachelor of Arts and Master of Science degrees in Criminal Justice and Criminology. The Department of CJC invites applications for one (1) full-time, tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor. While areas of instructional and scholarly expertise are open, we especially encourage applicants whose scholarship focuses on one or more of the following areas: policing, courts, and corrections. Position responsibilities include:
Successful candidates will work effectively with non-/traditional students from varied backgrounds. This is a 9-month, full-time, benefit-eligible, tenure-track ranked faculty appointment that will begin August 2026. Our academic schedules and workload provide for a positive work/life balance. Qualifications include a Ph.D. by August 1, 2026 in Criminal Justice, Criminology, or a closely related field; advanced ABDs will be considered. Anticipated Hiring Range
