ENERGY SYSTEMS GROUP is looking for a Sales Operations Analyst to join our Sales team. The position is remote. We are seeking a highly skilled Sales Operations Analyst with deep expertise in Salesforce CRM, data analytics, and field Sales team collaboration to support and enhance the sales operations function within Energy Systems Group, a leader in the energy services industry. As a Salesforce CRM and data analytics Specialist, you will play a key role in driving sales efficiency, optimizing reporting, conducting training, and ensuring seamless data flow across sales teams and corporate functions. This role requires a strong understanding of sales processes, data management, communication skills, and a keen ability to leverage Salesforce to support our sales objectives in a fast-paced, energy-focused environment. The essential functions of the position include: Salesforce CRM Administration & Optimization
- Manage and configure Salesforce CRM to align with business needs, ensuring seamless integration with other enterprise tools and systems
- Work with the existing ESG technical systems team to ensure the most effective creation and maintenance of custom objects, fields, workflows, and reports to optimize sales team operations
- Monitor the health and integrity of Salesforce data, conducting regular audits and cleanup processes to ensure accuracy
- Design and deploy Salesforce Lightning pages, dashboards, and reports to provide the sales team with real-time insights and tracking
- Administer user access, profiles, and permissions to ensure appropriate visibility and data security within Salesforce
Sales Operations & Support
- Support sales leadership by analyzing Salesforce data and providing actionable insights into sales performance, pipeline health, and forecasting accuracy
- Create and implement the training, coaching, communications, and change management necessary to make Salesforce a powerful tool
- Maintain and optimize Salesforce automation tools (e.g., Process Builder, Flow, and Approval Processes) to streamline repetitive tasks and reduce manual entry
- Collaborate with sales teams to ensure the best practices for pipeline management, opportunity tracking, and accurate forecasting. Conduct training and respond to on-demand inquiries from the Sales team
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with functional and executive leadership to ensure smooth lead capture, qualification, and handoff processes between Salesforce and other corporate automation platforms.
- Work closely with the finance team to ensure alignment between Salesforce and ERP systems for accurate orders and revenue forecasting.
Reporting & Forecasting
- Develop and maintain custom Salesforce reports and dashboards to track KPIs such as lead conversion rates, sales cycle times, win rates, stage-to-stage progression, and quota attainment
- Support sales forecasting by directly analyzing sales pipeline health, trends, and risks within Salesforce
- Provide executive-level reports and insights, leveraging Salesforce data to support strategic business decisions and quarterly reviews
Process Improvement
- Identify process inefficiencies within Salesforce and implement process improvements to streamline sales workflows and boost team productivity
- Lead initiatives and work with existing ESG technical systems resources to integrate third-party applications with Salesforce to enhance sales operations
- Drive continuous improvement of Salesforce configurations and customizations to better support evolving business needs and sales strategies
Your background includes:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, or a related field; Salesforce certifications preferred
- 3-5 years of experience in sales operations, Salesforce CRM administration, collaboration with field Sales teams, and data analysis, preferably in the energy services industry
- Advanced proficiency in Salesforce (Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and Salesforce Lightning)
- In-depth knowledge of Salesforce reporting and dashboard creation, including custom reports, dashboards, and filters
- Strong analytical skills with a focus on using Salesforce data to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities for improvement
- Experience with Salesforce integrations (e.g., ERP, HubSpot, marketing automation tools) is a plus
- Knowledge of the energy industry (e.g., energy efficiency, renewable energy, and energy security services) is highly desirable

- Strong communication and collaboration with field Sales teams, project management skills with a demonstrated ability to manage complex Salesforce configuration and optimization projects
