Description

The AN/SLQ-32(V)7, and AN/SLQ-32(V)6 Engineering Change Proposal Programs have reached the point in their lifecycles that additional installation support is required. The major focus areas of support are providing Installation Stage testing and System Operational Verification Testing (SOVT) plan development and SOVT coordination. Secondarily, interaction, oversight, recommendations with regards to work performed by the Design Service Agents (DSA) (planning yards) and by the industrial service contractor at the Regional Maintenance Centers (RMC).

OVT

* Assist the Fleet Modernization Branch Manager, Maritime Electronic Warfare Systems Division, Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC Crane) with Stage Testing and SOVT plan development.

* Construct a testing framework about V6 and V7 shipboard installation key events and milestone associated with individual test elements.

* Participate in and/or lead working groups for development of test plans and procedures.

* Coordinate activities of Tet and SOVT teams engaged in shipboard or shore site testing.

DSA

* Ensure Ship check tasking and funding support SIDs delivery milestones

* Review Planning Yard Ship Check Execution Reports and provide recommendations

* Assist NSWC AP communications with RMC and SURFMEPP to ensure discovered TYCOM responsible repairs are programmed appropriately

* Ensure SIDs development tasking and funding to support avail execution planning milestones

* Participate in design development

* Provide technical input for LARs/RLARs as required

* Ensure LLTM is tasked in support of avail execution milestones

* Assist ISEA in de-conflicting material issues related to avail execution

* Identify and provide recommendations for improvements for obtaining difficult LLTM for installations

* Participating in TDP reviews and discussion with CS Modernization Integrator for inclusion of design developments

* Coordinate ICD updates with ISEA POCs, CS Integrator and Planning Yard to support TDP revision(s) and SIDs milestones

* Provide advice for installation problem resolution

* Liaison with RMC or other activities to assist communications

* Participate in design, planning, progress, process improvement and cross program (DDG 2.0, MADWG, ARWG) meetings and events

RMC

* Review Regional Maintenance Center (RMC) and Third-Party Advance Planning work specification products ensuring the correct tasking has been implemented into work specifications

* Assist EW and LEED Installation Managers with work specification requirement interpretation

* Advise Installation and Program Managers on risks and mitigations

* Interface with Planning Yard representatives on resolving installation issues for future availability

* Collaborate with ISEA, OSR and OSIC on work item requirements and issues that arise during installation

* Provide for "Request for Contract Change (RCC)" instruction and justification for work item changes required during installation availabilities

* Coordinate with OSR and OSIC on advance planning readiness for execution

* Review and provide input regarding contractor reports submitted during installations

Requirements
  • Obtain and maintain a secret level security clearance
  • At least 7 years of direct experience
  • Bachelor's degree or higher education
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the team
