Overview

Job Summary

The Associate Product Manager is responsible for executing all marketing support programs for designated products and product lines, including creating promotional materials, conducting sales training, and interacting cross-functionally with other departments to achieve corporate objectives. They participate in developing and executing market research and customer communication strategies. This role collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to identify product requirements, ensure product quality, and plan product enhancements. The Associate Product Manager uses sound judgment and decision-making to work independently within assigned accountabilities. Activities are performed in accordance with standard operating procedures (SOPs), Quality Systems Regulations (QSRs), safety, and administrative regulations and policies.

Responsibilities

Key Accountabilities

  • Prepares and coordinates marketing support programs, contributes to planning and creating promotional materials, and writes marketing updates and other internal/external communications related to the assigned business line.
  • Develops and maintains competitive files, performs competitive analyses, and becomes a subject matter expert.
  • Leads the development and execution of marketing strategies for their Business Line.
  • Participates in both formal and informal market research and reports findings to the marketing management team.
  • Assists with market analysis, which includes documenting competitive pricing, market share, positioning, and portfolio planning.
  • Assists in developing and delivering training programs and educational presentations to both internal and external audiences.
  • Collaborates effectively to support and update stakeholders, including global marketing and sales teams and customers.
  • Establishes strong relationships with key stakeholders (R&D, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Finance, RA/QA/QE, Clinical Software, GSS, other SBUs, Werfen affiliates/customers).
  • Nurtures existing relationships with global key opinion leaders in autoimmune diagnostic testing. Develops new relationships with individuals in areas of clinical/technical interest.
  • Conducts VOC surveys to assess customer expectations and identify unmet needs.
  • Develops commercial product training materials and effectively presents material to diverse audienc-es.
  • Collaborates and supports all aspects of trade show planning, including working with marketing communications to ensure successful outcomes.
  • Complies with applicable standard operating procedures (SOPs), ISO, FDA, and other applicable Quality System regulations, as well as with applicable Environmental Health & Safety, Human Resources, and all other regulatory and administrative policies.
  • Demonstrates company values in quality of work and working relationships.
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum Knowledge & Experience for the position

Education:

  • * Bachelor's degree in sciences-related field or business required

Experience:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience required in clinical laboratory and/or in the healthcare/biotech industry, preferably in the in vitro diagnostics (IVD) sector, in one of the following functions: marketing, applications support, sales, R&D, other.
  • Preferably with previous experience in the Immunology and/or Autoimmunity fields

Management has the discretion of substituting relevant work experience for a degree and/or making exceptions to the years of experience requirement.

Travel requirementsUp to 30%, may include international travel and/or travel on short notice.

Work Environment:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to communicate. Must be able to detect, identify and inspect scientific data. The employee will be required to stand and/or walk up to 8 hours per day and/or sit for up to 8 hours per day. Must be able to use hands to feel objects, including keyboard, telephone and pipettes or other lab equipment. May need to reach with hands and arms, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel or crouch. Will be required to talk and hear and have specific vision abilities, including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. May occasionally have to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. The noise level in the work environment will vary but is usually moderate.

The salary range for this position is currently $70,000 - $115,000. Individual compensation is based on the candidate's qualifications for the position, including experience, skills, knowledge, education, certifications, internal equity, budget and/or other business and organizational needs.
