Medical Assistant Supervisor Compass Health is currently looking for a Medical Assistant Supervisor to Join our Medical Services Team. SUMMARY The Medical Assistant (MA) Supervisor oversees and directs all Medical Assistant services at Compass Health, and ensures compliance with all clinical policies, directives, rules, regulations, and performance standards and regulations. The MA Supervisor is responsible for MA leadership in clinical direction, risk management, and quality improvement for all Medical Assistant services within Compass Health. The MA Supervisor also provides clinical consultation to the organization, supervises all MA staff, and provides some direct patient care as needed. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following, other duties may be assigned
- Oversees and directs all MA services.
- Develops service objectives and designs use of resources to accomplish objectives.
- Ensures that all services provided within the area of responsibility meet the established standards of care.
- Ensures that all services and quality improvement efforts take place according to Compass Health policies and practices and standards established by regulatory bodies, and are in accordance with all relevant laws, rules and regulations.
- Sets standards, measures, and procedures for maintaining productivity and best practices for MA services, and ensures that standards are met by staff.
- Keeps abreast of emerging models in the industry in order to identify and define new and innovative strategies to achieve service and business goals and objectives.
- Participates in regional and state workgroups and committees as requested to further Compass Health goals in emerging models of care.
- Recruits, hires, supervises, mentors, and evaluates MA services staff.
- Oversees all human resources, financial resources, management, and planning for MA services within Compass Health.
- Ensures implementation and improvement based on feedback related to client satisfaction and outcome data and other quality improvement indicators.
- Coordinates with all other Compass Health programs to ensure continuity of care.
- Provides training (internally and externally) which furthers the goals and mission of Compass Health.
- Provides community education to enhance awareness of behavioral health issues and facilitate referrals.
- Remains compliant with required trainings and certifications.
- Behaves in an ethical and professional manner consistent with agency policy, state law, and licensing entities if applicable.
- Understands and practices safekeeping of client protected health information per Compass Health's HIPAA and other agency policies and procedures.
- Demonstrates respect for diversity and a commitment to developing multicultural competency and sensitivity.

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE / CERTIFICATIONS / LICENSES
- Current CMA license and the ability to practice in the State of Washington. RN License preferred.
- 5+ years of direct psychiatric nursing or medical assisting care experience.
- 2+ years of supervisory/management experience preferred.
- Experience with the healthcare reimbursement model.
- Experience working in a non-profit environment strongly preferred.
- Experience working in primary care environment strongly preferred.

- Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
- Knowledge of managed healthcare systems, medical quality assurance, quality improvement, and risk management.
- Awareness of trends and emerging best-practice models in the integration of behavioral health and primary health.
- Strong computer proficiency, including keyboarding skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
- Ability to utilize an electronic medical record for collaborative clinical documentation.
- Ability to pass pre-employment criminal background check.
