Join us as our new Process Engineer

The Planetary Recovery Process Engineer is product responsible for filtering, up concentrating, and stabilizing the fermentation enzyme broth. They will budget and control the variance and yield of the different products, performing trouble shooting on both the product and equipment. The Process Engineer will interact daily with the Fermentation and Supply Chain departments to make sure product flows efficiently through the plant, perform batch reviews to make sure product met all quality specs and any opportunities for improvement. Process Engineers will manage projects of multiple sizes for continuous improvement or capacity needs.

In this role you'll make an impact by:

  • Ensuring the optimal performance of the processes, equipment and products re. economy, yield, quality and delivery time.

  • Providing technical knowledge and leadership for process and operational improvements and for technical change projects.

  • Supporting the relevant legal requirements for Novonesis policies and standards

  • Supporting technical training and certification of operators and relevant staff personnel.

  • Developing and maintaining Standard Operational Procedures, checklists, forms and training manuals.

  • Developing process, operational and equipment better practices.

  • Optimizing efficiency of process and product flow, equipment, and process control systems with respect to cost, yield, quality and customer requirements.

  • Leading and/or sponsoring capital projects and following up on performance and completion.

  • Preparing presentations and written status reports to ensure technical information is appropriately communicated and archived.

  • Investigating potentials and drive improvements of the plant performance preferably using tools like; lean manufacturing, Six Sigma and statistical tools.

  • Supporting the Novonesis Environmental Policy and QES and assure that the environmental impact of changes to processes, equipment, and laboratory materials is assessed prior to implementation.

To succeed you must hold:

  • BS/MS in engineering with 2+ years in GMP manufacturing preferred

  • Monitor and analyze process, product, equipment and other production data for performance reporting and optimization.

  • Troubleshoot product and process related problems.

  • Lead and/or sponsor improvement projects including technical and operational changes.

  • Participate in improvement and knowledge transfer groups at appropriate local and global level and generate ideas for improvements of equipment and relevant technology.

Expected Starting Salary:

  • 66k-81k based on experience
