EMPLOYER: APPLE INC JOB TITLE: Research & Development Project Lead JOB DESCRIPTION: APPLE INC has the following available for Research & Development Project Lead (REQ# 200604248) in Culver City, California. Produce multiple projects for the Spanish market to enhance product viability, increase the customer base, and improve the user experience with respect to the global vision of Apple. Use proprietary tools to track production progress, including scripts completion and alignment to schedules, and work with the script department to ensure that scripts meet quality standards and character briefs. Prepare Git pull requests. Perform reviews and merges for scripts and script-related assets. Perform semi-annual competitive analysis and provide experienced opinions on product quality. Maintain learning and use proprietary tools to validate dialogue translations and make corrections where vital. Collaborate with writers and translators to ensure dialogue meets quality standards and character briefs to verify and correct pronunciations. Collaborates with language engineers and linguists to improve voice builds on an ongoing basis, including pronunciations, prosody, and character engineering natural language processing and speech components specific to the Spanish market, culture, and languages. Help define the standards of Apple’s text-to-speech voices by ensuring superior sound, voice, and audio quality which is in line with Apple’s voice product. Maintain speech voices from the beginning of the development process through to software release and then on an ongoing basis as continuous updates and improvements are made. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $133,800 - $222,800/yr. and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
