The Director of Health Informatics is a field-based role that works with the Corporate Accounts Team. We are committed to merging cutting-edge medical science with innovative digital technology. This person would work across the portfolio with priority customers to ensure that all customer-facing resources can be integrated into an EHR platform.

This role will provide YOU the opportunity to lead key activities to progress YOUR career. These responsibilities include some of the following:

  • Capitalize on Corporate Accounts' existing EHR capabilities to help harness functionality to improve diagnosis, treatment and management of patients.
  • Conduct workflow assessments with aligned customers to identify opportunities to improve health outcomes.
  • Integrate digital assets needed to support population health collaborations between client and Corporate Accounts. Such projects may include:
    • Integrating appropriate educational materials into EHR systems
    • Educating customers through a step-by-step process on optimizing EHR functionality for mutual therapeutic areas of interest
    • Assisting corporate accounts with integrating screening and diagnosis tools within their EHR
    • Simplifying tools and integration into the EHR (i.e. transfer paper assets to digital - saving cards, digital marketing tools, etc.)
  • Lead projects to ensure as many barriers as possible are removed so the digital assets and resources can be used for population's health management. Focus will be on the digital asset and processes with the customer.
  • Identify implications, threats, and opportunities as a result of the adoption and implementation of health information technology by our customers.
  • Educate internal stakeholders about customers' digital needs and processes.

Basic Qualifications:

We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in healthcare or pharmaceutical industry
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in a patient care environment (hospital, physician practice, etc.)
  • Proficiency in front end use of EHR systems (Athena, Epic, Oracle, etc.). Hands-on experience working with top EHR products and vendors.
  • Possess understanding of clinical workflows, processes and care coordination
  • Knowledge of the health IT landscape, including the inter-relationships of key players in the healthcare delivery space
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Ability to travel

Preferred Qualifications:

If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus:

  • Strategic thinking, accountability, self-starter, and results orientation
  • Project management experience
  • Technical certifications (EHR, RHIA/RHIT, HIMSS)
  • High level of emotional intelligence, with strengths in collaboration, interpersonal skills, and client success
  • Excellent organizational, written, and oral communication skills

    The annual base salary for this position ranges from $177.000 to $240.000. The base salary range represents the anticipated low and high of the Syneos Health range for this position. Actual salary will vary based on various factors such as the candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies, and proficiency for the role. In addition, some positions may include a company car or car allowance and eligibility to earn commissions/bonus based on company and / or individual performance.
