Job Summary: Duties include but are not limited to incoming inspection work, reading blueprints and specifications to ensure that operations meet production standards, recommending any necessary adjustments and changes to process, perform testing, remove product that do not meet production standards, and conduct inspections at random to assess product quality. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Ensures work area is in a state of readiness, neat, clean, and orderly
- Inspect and test incoming and in-process materials
- Take and record various process measurements and process parameters (e.g., pH)
- Perform in-process inspections
- Participate in Team Gemba Walks
- Perform Quality Walks
- Perform inspections at random to assess product quality
- Quarantine products that don't meet production standards
- Accept or reject finished products and discuss inspection results with the production team
- Recommend strategies and ideas to improve product quality and/or save time
- Participate in Root Cause Analysis (RCA) to identify and resolve operational issues
- Ability to read blueprints and specifications to ensure that operations meet production standards
- Recommend any necessary adjustments and changes to production processes
- Use gauges such as micrometer or calipers to measure parts
- Calibrate equipment and/or help coordinate external calibration vendor
- Scan and file records
- Complete company-assigned training, as required
- Keep material flowing in support of production without undue delays
- Overtime will be expected from time to time to accommodate shipments
Job Requirements:

- Ability to follow instructions and properly manage competing priorities

- Work in other areas when needed
- Maintain and observe ISO standards and business regulations
- Ability to use various gauges for inspection work
- Computer experience is helpful with Microsoft Office products
Special Skills Requirements:
- 3 years' experience in a manufacturing environment, with previous quality experience preferred
Education Requirements:
- HS diploma, Associates Degree in a relevant field preferred
- Occupational Safety and Health ISO Awareness
- Familiar with Lock out / Tag out
Physical Demands:
- Frequently required to stand, walk, climb, lift and/or move up to 25 lbs.
- Daily walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing for sustained periods of time, walking, pushing, pulling, and lifting.
- Required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; expansive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts and/or operation of machines; using measurement devices; and/or assembly of fabrication of parts at distances close to the eyes.
- The worker is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions.
