The Clinician Experience and Cultural Development team at Optum Health is dedicated to creating a positive and inclusive work environment for physicians and clinicians. This role will be responsible for coordinating and completing projects and end-to-end business process activities across various functional areas. This role involves analyzing and investigating issues, providing explanations and interpretations within their area of expertise. The coordinator will use pertinent data and facts to identify and solve a range of problems, investigate non-standard requests and problems with some assistance, and work exclusively within a specific knowledge area. Additionally, they will prioritize and organize their own work to meet deadlines and provide explanations and information to others on topics within their area of expertise.

Primary Responsibilities:



  • Coordinate and manage all aspects of meeting logistics and communications
  • Collaborate with team members and assist in managing the program inbox and email inquiries
  • Develop, manage, and maintain detailed program spreadsheets and incentive benefits
  • Collaborate with team members to strategize clinical placements for students and outreach strategy
  • Understand basic process management and methodologies
  • Utilize relevant computer systems and applications (e.g., SharePoint, MS Word, MS Teams, SmartSheets, Workfront, PowerBI)
  • Analyze business process information to identify key issues and improvement opportunities
  • Document actionable solutions using appropriate artifacts (e.g., PowerPoint decks, written documents)
  • Identify and communicate risks associated with proposed solutions
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gain support and buy-in for proposed solutions
  • Adapt solutions to new requirements and information
  • Obtain needed resources to implement business solutions
  • Provide input into relevant policies, procedures, and work tools to support new or updated business processes
  • Develop and provide education to business partners for effective implementation
  • Develop project plans using relevant tools and databases
  • Monitor ongoing progress and gather stakeholder feedback
  • Report to stakeholders on benefits, challenges, and progress of solution implementation and gather stakeholder feedback on solution effectiveness

Required Qualifications:



  • 2+ years of experience with project coordination/process improvement
  • Experience managing logistics for meetings, events, or programs
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and collaboration tools such as MS Teams and SharePoint
  • Familiarity with process improvement or project management methodologies
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze data and summarize findings using tools like Excel, PowerPoint, or PowerBI
  • Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with discretion
  • Demonstrated solid organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Demonstrated excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated to be comfortable working independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment


Preferred Qualification:



  • Experience working in the healthcare industry

The hourly range for this role is $28.61 to $56.06 per hour based on full-time employment. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
