JMU offers several perks to all employees including: General Information: The Family Support Specialist (FSS) will provide family-centered, strength-based and culturally competent services to families. Services will occur primarily in families' homes in Shenandoah County. This position reports to an office located in Woodstock, VA. Training with the Healthy Families America model will be provided. Duties and Responsibilities: The Healthy Families Shenandoah County Family Support Specialist (FSS) is responsible for providing family-centered, strength-based and culturally competent support and interventions for assigned families. Training on the Healthy Families model will be provided. Activity will occur primarily in family homes throughout Shenandoah County, VA using an evidence-based model and curriculum. Essential job functions will include: Qualifications: -Experience working with adults, infants, and toddlers.
