This is a 12-month, full-time (40 hours/week), hybrid contract role (3 days on-site) located in Austin, Texas. Summary
We're looking for a skilled HR Advisor to provide front-line support for a range of employee and manager-facing HR needs. This role plays a key part in managing complex HR situations, supporting employee relations, performance cycles, and employee life events, and ensuring a thoughtful, empathetic approach. The HR Advisor will collaborate closely with internal HR teams and leadership to ensure consistent, effective employee support and engagement. Our Ideal Candidate
- 3+ years of experience in HR roles such as HR Generalist, HR Business Partner, or HR Specialist
- Passion for employee experience and organizational health with a strong foundation in employee relations, policy interpretation, and performance management
- Proficient in HRIS and case management platforms such as Workday and ServiceNow
- Familiar with MacOS and basic data reporting tools or dashboards
- Skilled in collaborating with HR Business Partners, internal teams, and cross-functional stakeholders
- Able to work independently and manage multiple cases and inquiries simultaneously
- Flexible and adaptable to changing HR priorities and employee needs
- Strong written and verbal communication with exceptional attention to detail
- A people-first approach with active listening and empathetic support
Job Description
In this role, you will serve as a first point of contact for employee and manager HR inquiries that require active listening and sound HR knowledge.
You'll partner with internal HR specialists and business leaders to manage employee relations issues, guide performance management conversations, and support a range of life events and crisis situations. This includes policy interpretation, coaching managers, responding to HR requests in ServiceNow, and helping employees navigate milestones and available resources.
You will also support ongoing talent initiatives and collaborate across departments to ensure consistent application of HR practices and employee-first service. Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
- Background in generalist HR functions including employee relations, performance management, and policy guidance
- Experience with case tracking systems (ServiceNow preferred)
