JOB MISSION:
We're
looking for a UX/UI Designer with a sharp creative eye, user-first mindset, and deep attention to detail to help shape the future of New Balance's global digital experiences. From concept to execution, you'll design meaningful solutions that balance consumer needs, business goals, and brand excellence. You'll work on a wide range of initiatives-spanning e-commerce, retail apps, and digital platforms-bringing forward ideas that elevate every interaction, from navigation and product discovery to storytelling and checkout.


MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES:

* Crafting polished, consumer-first work that brings New Balance's brand and product stories to life
* Designing UI components and interactions-including buttons, forms, menus, and icons-that enhance usability and drive clarity
* Developing wireframes, prototypes, and responsive layouts that clearly communicate flow and functionality
* Building and evolving UI kits, style guides, and design systems to ensure consistency across global platforms
* Collaborating with brand marketing and merchandising on the visual expression of typography, color, imagery, and layout
* Outlining responsive design specs and preparing documentation and assets for engineering handoff
* Rapidly iterating based on insights, user behavior, and performance data
* Clearly articulating your design ideas and rationale, and incorporating feedback from partners
* Staying curious-bringing new ideas, fresh inspiration, and emerging design trends into the conversation

REQUIREMENTS FOR SUCCESS:
* 3+ years of relevant experience with end-to-end digital product design with proven experience in visual design and UX
* A bachelor's degree in design or related field (UX/UI design, human-computer interaction, etc.) or equivalent combination of education and experience.
* A strong portfolio demonstrating end-to-end design thinking, from concept to execution, across e-commerce or consumer digital experiences
* Expertise in Figma and prototyping tools; experience with Adobe Creative
* Demonstrated ability to design polished interfaces and flows that are accessible, responsive, and brand-aligned
* Experience planning and conducting your own usability testing or research
* Strong understanding of product thinking and human-centered design methodologies
* Excellent communication and collaboration skills-especially in fast-paced, agile environments
* Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and deliver exceptional attention to detail

* Experience in retail, fashion, or performance footwear and apparel
* Familiarity with accessibility standards and inclusive design principles
* Experience designing for global brands or in multilingual digital environments
* Comfort contributing to or managing large-scale design systems

Flexible Work Schedule

For decades we have fostered a unique culture founded on our values with a particular focus on in-person teamwork and collaboration. Our North American hybrid model encourages rich in-person experiences, showcasing our commitment to teamwork and connection, while maintaining flexibility for associates. New Balance Associates currently work in office three days per week (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday). Our offices are fully open, and amenities are available across our North American office locations. To continue our focus on hybrid work we have introduced "Work from Anywhere" (WFA) for four weeks per calendar year. This model will help us enhance our culture while continuing to maintain elements of flexibility.
