Job Description JOB SUMMARY This paragraph summarizes the general nature, level and purpose of the job. The Surgical Technologist acts as a member of the surgical team providing patient care to the patients undergoing surgical procedures in all areas, including a variety of complex procedures, by assisting the surgeon with instrumentation. Surgical Technologist II Under some supervision, prepares the appropriate instrumentation and materials for use during and on the surgical field, passing instruments, assisting with room turnover, and performs other scrub duties as directed. Surgical Technologist III The Surgical Technologist III is an advanced level technologist with expansive knowledge of surgical procedures offered at Lucile Packard Children's Hospital. Independently prepares the appropriate instrumentation and materials for use during and on the surgical field, passing instruments, assisting with room turnover, and performing other scrub duties as directed. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Surgical Technologist The essential functions listed are typical examples of work performed by positions in this job classification. Additional Information Pay Range Compensation is based on the level and requirements of the role. Salary within our ranges may also be determined by your education, experience, knowledge, skills, location, and abilities, as required by the role, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. Typically, new team members join at the minimum to mid salary range.
