Job Description

PCC Fasteners supports a broad range of aerospace and industrial markets, delivering engineered fastening solutions through a global network of manufacturing operations.

Location Profile:

Headquartered in Irvine, CA, Shur-Lok manufactures fastening systems with superior locking devices for critical requirements including engine module assembly, structural assembly, rotor blade attachment, and aircraft engine shaft and spindle applications. Operations at the Irvine location include: CNC Machining, CNC Waterjet Cutting, Laser Marking, Heat Treating, NDT, and EDM.

Work Location:

This is a full-time, on-site position based in Irvine, CA. Standard work hours are Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM with overtime and weekend availability as directed.

Position Summary

The Production Expeditor level 1 or 2 is responsible for ensuring the timely release, movement, and tracking of work orders through the production process. This role requires a high sense of urgency, strong communication skills, and close coordination with Planning, Manufacturing, Quality, Purchasing, and Sales teams. The Production Expeditor will play a critical role in identifying and resolving bottlenecks to meet customer delivery schedules.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure timely release and processing of work orders for assigned parts and product lines.
  • Track daily job status and proactively follow up with departments to maintain production flow.
  • Identify and escalate potential delays or constraints to leadership and cross-functional teams.
  • Coordinate with the Master Scheduler and Planning team to support daily and weekly production goals.
  • Collaborate with Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, and Purchasing to resolve issues impacting on-time delivery.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying inefficiencies in the production workflow.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date information in ERP/MRP systems related to job status and priorities.
  • Assist in expediting materials or tools needed to prevent production delays.
  • Participate in daily production meetings to communicate status updates and problem areas.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support production planning and control.
Qualifications

Required:

  • 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing expeditor, coordinator, or production support role.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and follow-up skills.
  • Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems and shop floor tracking.
  • Proactive and solution-oriented mindset with a strong sense of urgency.

Preferred:

  • Experience in the aerospace or fastener manufacturing industry.
  • Lean manufacturing knowledge or experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and basic data analysis tools.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.

For informational purposes only, the range of pay for this role is $21 to $31.50 US Dollar (USD) Hourly based on a variety of factors. For informational purposes only, this role is eligible to participate in the Company's Quarterly Cash Bonus Plan, paid out at the quarterly bonus factor of 1X the Company's bonus multiple, based on the Company's performance in the applicable quarter . Employees will receive 80 hours paid time off every year. Employees will also receive 10 paid holidays. Employees (and their families) are eligible to participate in the company's medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance. Employees are eligible to enroll in the Company's 401(k) plan.
This position requires use of information or access to production processes subject to national security controls under U.S. export control laws and regulations (including, but not limited to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and the Export Administration Regulations (EAR)).
