UX Designer - Interactive Education & Gaming
We're seeking an experienced UX Designer to join our fast-moving, collaborative team creating gamified, interactive online education courses. If you're passionate about intuitive design, love crafting playful learning experiences, and thrive in agile environments-this role is for you. This is a 25 hour / week contract to start with potential to go full time after a few months. What You'll Do: * Design user flows, UI elements, and interaction patterns for mobile-first, game-like education experiences * Collaborate closely with instructional designers, Unity developers, and creative leads * Rapidly prototype, test, and iterate on designs based on user behavior and feedback * Help define and refine UX/UI systems that support learning outcomes, player motivation, and performance * Contribute to a highly iterative, agile process where new ideas are tested in days, not months What We're Looking For: * A portfolio showcasing end-to-end UX work-not just UI screens * Experience designing interactive mobile games or apps with real-time input and feedback loops * Bonus: Familiarity with gamified education or instructional design * Bonus: Experience designing directly in Unity (or eager to learn) * Strong communication and collaboration skills across small, cross-functional teams * Bias toward action, user empathy, and systems thinking The pay for this W-2 position ranges from $45-$50 per hour. This position may be eligible for PTO, health and dental insurance, and/or 401(k) benefits upon meeting certain length of service and hours requirements.
