Copy Editor - Marketing (Financial Services)

Marketing Team

This is a 6-month, full-time (40 hours/week), contract role based in Los Angeles, CA. In-office 3/4 times per week.

Summary

We are looking for a detail-oriented copy editor to support a Canada-focused Marketing team within a highly regulated industry. This individual will be responsible for editing a variety of marketing materials for clarity, accuracy, consistency, and compliance. The ideal candidate has experience in financial services or similarly regulated environments and is familiar with applying style guides and disclosure requirements. French language editing skills are a plus but not required.

Our Ideal Candidate

• 3-5 years of copyediting experience
• Experience in financial services, pharmaceutical, or medical environments preferred
• Strong understanding of AP Stylebook and Chicago Manual of Style
• Exceptional grammar, syntax, and editing skills across both print and digital formats
• Experience working in compliance-heavy environments and applying required disclosure language
• Highly detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple deadlines with minimal supervision
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Comfortable collaborating across multiple teams and departments
• Proactive and able to escalate issues or inconsistencies appropriately
• French reading/editing ability is a bonus

You'll validate data against internal and external sources, manage quarterly and annual updates, and ensure timely execution of projects.

You'll track and incorporate updates from compliance and legal teams and work with marketing and production teams to maintain a consistent tone and voice.

You'll also manage and monitor copyediting tools and resources to keep up with evolving style guidelines and ensure the highest editorial quality.

Education and Experience

• Bachelor's degree preferred
• 3-5 years of experience in copyediting, ideally in a regulated industry
• Working knowledge of financial and investment concepts is a plus

Hybrid schedule: Must be available to work onsite Tuesday-Thursday (Monday-Thursday beginning 9/8/25)

The pay for this W-2 position ranges from $30.00 - $34.45 per hour
