About this Opportunity
Ball State University welcomes applications for our Coordinator of Employer Relations position.
Salary Grade 10
Wages Begin At 16.5
FLSA Non-Exempt
Hrs/Week 40
Pre-Employment Screening Requires successful completion of a background check., Requires successful completion of a Drivers License check
Position Function
Serve as a primary contact for multiple stakeholders wanting to connect with the university. Coordinate a variety of career focused events, both large and small, as a way to connect employers to university resources and students to career related opportunities.
Minimum Education
Associate's degree or equivalent in office administration, business, communications, or related field.
Minimum Experience
One through three years of experience in administrative support, event coordination, public relations, customer service, or a related field. Proficiency with web-based applications and databases required.
Minimum Other
Proficiency with Microsoft Office products; high aptitude for internal and external customer service. Possess and maintain a valid driver's license and be insurable under the university's auto fleet policy.
Authorization to work in the US Candidates for searches must have current authorization to be employed in the U.S. without employer sponsorship.
Preferred Education
Bachelor's degree in office administration, business, communications, public relations, or related field.
Preferred Experience
Additional years of experience; experience with program planning and assessment.
Preferred Other

Job Duty
Plan and coordinate all Career Center sponsored career days and job fairs; includes schedule facilities; develop program/marketing forecasts and budgets; compile and connect with employer prospects; order food and supplies; communicate with employers and candidates; manage employer and student registrations; implement day-of-event activities; compile/analyze evaluations; prepare final reports.

Coordinate the Career Center's Practice Interview Program by recruiting alumni and employer participants, coordinating interview scheduling, hosting participants on-site, and providing support to the Associate Director with related program responsibilities.

Plan and coordinate Career Center Networking events with Employer Partners, Alumni, and Faculty; includes recruiting alumni/employers, faculty to participate, scheduling alumni/employers, faculty to attend, creating and scheduling event plans, hosting alumni/employers, faculty at the event

Collaborate with various campus departments to plan and manage academic job fairs; includes maintain employer registrations through Cardinal Career Link; communicate with employers, collect registration fees, and coordinate day-of-event activities as requested.

Provide support to the Associate Director with the Career Center Employer Academy Program; includes participating in monthly webinars, tracking employer attendance, scheduling follow up meetings with employers, and other related program responsibilities.

Attend and participate in Career Center events in collaboration with the career center team; includes meet with employers at Ball State Athletics events, when possible, attend programs and events led by Career Coaches, participate in all Indiana Connections Lounge events, and attend local networking events.

Develop and maintain systems to: recommend purchase of equipment and supplies; monitor deposit of fees to appropriate accounts; track expenditures and reconcile accounts in collaboration with the Administrative Coordinator.

Follow up with employer contacts to ensure high levels of engagement and satisfaction from employers' participation in Career Center sponsored career days, job fairs, and Practice Interview Program.
