POSITION TITLE: Assistant Manager, Treasury

DIV/DEPARTMENT NAME: Administration / Finance

REPORTS TO: Director, Corporate Risk & Treasury

POSITION STATUS: Full-Time

WORK LOCATION: CGO Office-Schaumburg, IL

WORK STYLE DESIGNATION: Hybrid (+50% Remote)

WORK STYLE REQUIREMENT: Remote - 4 days / Onsite - 1 day

FLSA STATUS (E or N): Exempt

TRAVEL REQUIRED: Occasional (approx. 5%)

POSITIONS SUPERVISED: Two (2)

EXPECTED PAY RANGE: $87,499 to $120,311 Annually

POSITION SUMMARY

The Assistant Treasury Manager will be responsible for managing (HTA)'s cash and related financial assets to support the achievement of HTA's business objectives and strategy. Critical success factors of the position include maintaining HTA liquidity, optimizing investments, ensuring short- and long-term financing needs, timely and accurate cash application, identifying & mitigating foreign exchange risk, cutting edge use of information technology, and effective collaboration with other departments. The position has oversight responsibility for HTA and HTA's subsidiaries.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Cash flow forecasting (E)

  • Ensure HTA has adequate short- and long-term liquidity using cash flow forecasting tools.

  • Maintain week-by-week cash flow forecast covering a minimum of one month and a maximum of 12 months. Report cash position to key stakeholders as requested and through HTA's monthly Financial Group Review report.

Short- and long-term investing and financing (E)

  • Invest or borrow funds using HTA approved tools.

  • Term deposits. Pooling accounts. Arrange short and long-term financing as requested, including AR factoring.

Bank and financial institutions management (E)

  • Organize and oversee bank and financial relationships. Partner with banks and financial service providers to manage financial services.

  • Signatory oversight, coordination, and storage of documents (HTA and HTA's subsidiaries) Bank portal maintenance and user administration. Bank statement process and monthly reconciliation approval. Customer credit card process (contract, software access, process improvements, etc.). Ensure banking resolutions are updated properly to comply with HHT's requirements.

Cash application (E)

  • Ensure assigned analyst processes lockbox items timely and accurately. Maintain or

  • enhance various areas of cash application process:

  • Lockbox process. Bank connectivity. Drive cash application improvements (ex. fees charged, auto application rates, remittance process, etc.).

Foreign exchange risk management (E)

  • Manage all foreign trade currency transactions to minimize risk involved with currency rate fluctuations.

  • Forward exchange contract (handle process start to finish). Monthly foreign exchange currency position report. Approve the weekly and monthly update of foreign currency exchange rates in SAP. Record foreign exchange gains/losses on foreign currency transactions.

Business continuity planning ("BCP") (E)

  • Maintain and enhance treasury area's business continuity plan, following HTA's business

  • continuity program guidelines and requirements.

  • Identify critical processes, thoroughly document procedures, and adequately cross-train staff to prevent business disruptions. Annually update business impact analysist (BIA), business continuity plan (BCP), perform annual test, and document testing lessons learned.

Leadership responsibilities (E)

  • Supervise two (2) subordinates; provide leadership, coaching, and performance appraisals.

  • Collaborate effectively as a team with HTA/HHT members to maintain and enhance HTA's systems and processes.

  • Understand and develop information technology systems related to treasury area.

  • Manage and maintain records in compliance with retention laws, HTA's retention policy, and CRT's department process.

  • Coordinate audits for treasury area (external and internal audits).

  • Quickly inform management about problems or issues.

  • Ensure ongoing compliance with internal control policies, including following HTA's corporate approval code.

  • Complete treasury portion of CRT Department budget process.

EDUCATION, LICENSES, AND/OR CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's degree in finance and/or Accounting (E)

  • CPA or MBA in Finance preferred

  • Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) preferred

EXPERIENCE AND TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum: 5 years' cash management or treasury experience

  • Minimum: 2 years managerial experience

  • SAP system knowledge preferred

SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIREMENTS

  • Knowledge of GAAP, GAAS, Sarbanes Oxley

  • MS Office knowledge including Excel

  • Accuracy - ability to perform work accurately, thoroughly, timely

  • Critical thinker - ability to initiate and carry out change

  • Management skills - leadership and coaching skills needed for proper managing of staff

  • Organization - highly organized person required - ability to handle multiple priorities at the same time

  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills; and the ability to disseminate data
