Who We Are ...

SourceAmerica is seeking a Marketing Communications Manager. This position is responsible for managing cross-functional programs and overseeing the day-to-day workflow and execution of assigned SourceAmerica projects and programs. Ensuring all work is produced on time, on budget, and on strategy. Must possess excellent relationship management skills, strong writing, and presentation skills, can think strategically, analytically, and creatively.

There are approximately 500 NPAs in the SourceAmerica nonprofit network that provide products or services through the AbilityOne Program and approximately 36,000 AbilityOne employees are in the SourceAmerica nonprofit network.

What You Will Do ...

As a Marketing Communications Manager, your work functions will include, but are not limited to, the following: Candidates will be given a full-position description at the time of the interview.

  • This position interacts with various departments within our organization to fulfill marketing programming that impacts our network and our team. This position will use productive questioning skills to understand the department's goals and assess responses given to build successful marketing communication solutions that meet their needs.
  • Work in partnership with other SourceAmerica departments to implement and manage internal and external marketing communications activities.
  • Manages, researches, develops, executes, and measures marketing campaigns and collaborates with the sales team to set campaign goals and objectives.
  • Collaborates with marketing communications teams to create fully integrated marketing and communications plans for multiple programs and projects.
  • This position will coordinate creative development and production of marketing materials, promotional items, collateral, and marketing outreach for print, video, digital and web for internal business partners.

Salary Range

The salary for this position falls in a range between $82,000 - $92,000 depending on your experience and geographic location in the United States.

What You Must Have ...

  • Associate's degree required or in lieu of applicable skill training.
  • 5 years of relevant work experience in account management, marketing and design, communications or general marketing roles.
  • Knowledge of marketing/advertising techniques and the ability to monitor and maintain the processes related to the development of integrated marketing materials.
  • Ability to prioritize and complete multiple projects within specified deadlines in a fast-paced environment and maintain confidentiality of information.
  • Resourceful: Understands how to get things done by leveraging resources from a wide range of sources.
  • Demonstrated ability to work within budget parameters.

Preferred Experience ...

  • A proactive self-starter that is comfortable in a fast-paced environment.
  • Good judgment and decision-making skills for managing projects day-to-day.
  • Self-motivated, work independently with minimal guidance.
  • Works well under deadline pressure with exceptional time management and problem-solving skills.
  • Able to manage multiple, concurrent projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to combine and balance strategic thinking with tactical functions.
  • Experience with sales support and marketing automation, trade shows, or events marketing.
  • Solid background in marketing and communications.
  • Advertising agency experience preferred.
  • Sound working knowledge and proficiency in the areas of branding, collateral creation,
  • advertising, graphic design and video process, and print material management.
  • Working knowledge of Marketing Automation and CRM tools.
  • Experience working with project management systems and workflow tools to ensure projects are
  • completed in a timely manner.
  • Team player.
  • Able to be flexible and multi-task, as necessary.
  • Ability to build solid relationships.
  • Positive attitude and collaborative spirit.
  • Experience working for a nonprofit in a marketing or communications function.

Work Environment

Our organization offers both a hybrid and remote work environment where employees work in our office two to three days per week and work from home the balance of the workweek.

* Due to the requirements of this position - The candidate must be based near SourceAmerica's National Office in Vienna, VA (greater-Washington, DC metro area). SourceAmerica's employees who live within 30 commuting miles of our offices work in a hybrid setting with 2-3 days in office and the balance as remote work.
