Overview

Clarkson University's David D. Reh School of Business invites applications for a faculty member at the Instructor or teaching track Assistant Professor level in the area of Information Systems to begin August 1, 2025. This is a non-tenure-track, full-time position.

ABD candidates near completion and applicants with a Masters degree and substantial work experience in the areas of information systems and data analytics will be considered at the Instructor level. All areas of Information Systems will be considered. Potential teaching responsibilities may include courses such as Data Analytics, Big Data Architecture and Database Systems. Ability to teach accounting (in addition to IS courses) is a strong plus.

The selected candidate is expected to contribute towards advancing Reh School's mission and vision through teaching, scholarship, and engagement. The standard teaching load for a teaching-track Assistant Professor is seven courses in an academic year, while the standard teaching load for an Instructor is eight courses per academic year. The selected candidate is also expected to produce impactful scholarship that advances the teaching and practice of information systems and related fields. Regarding service and engagement, the candidate is expected to actively participate in the School's (and University's) shared-governance by serving on relevant faculty committees and be part of our collegial environment. In addition to having the relevant academic credentials and experience, the selected candidate will demonstrate sustained engagement activities necessary for maintaining faculty qualifications, consistent with our AACSB accreditation standards.
