The Opportunity: The Director of Meetings and Events provides strategic leadership and professional expertise in the university-wide planning and execution of high-quality events. This role demands a high level of creativity, resourcefulness, and dynamic decision-making to deliver meaningful engagement opportunities for key university constituents. The Director fosters close collaboration with internal university partners and external vendors to ensure seamless event implementation. Key responsibilities include the organization and execution of events within the President's Box at the university stadium and arena. This position is also instrumental in promoting the University to a variety of internal and external audiences, marketing its services, and actively engaging the local community through a variety of recognition, social, cultural, and educational programs and events, as well as managing the associated facilities.
