We support customers with Centers of Excellence in Washington DC, and Huntsville, AL with an additional 36+ locations across the U.S. Astrion has an exciting opportunity for a visionary Facility Engineer/HVAC to support the Boulder Ground Innovation Facility (BGIF). Must hold a Top Secret Clearance. JOB DETAILS Location: Boulder, CO SALARY RANGE: Estimated $115,000 USD - $160,000 USD annually JOB SUMMARY The BGIF-BOSS contract is a defense contracting opportunity for the Space Systems Command, Air Force, which focuses on research and development in physical, engineering, and life sciences products and services. The Facility Engineer/Facility Engineer HVAC shall maintain the BGIF portion of the 6304 Spine Road, Boulder facility. The Facility Engineer/Facility Engineer HVAC shall: Ensure proper power, heating, cooling, ventilation, lighting, space management, construction, security, and maintenance, as appropriate, for the interior workspaces and computer rooms in the BGIF. Maintain external equipment (i.e. backup diesel generators, satellite dishes, other external hardware) in BGIF controlled space external to the facility. Facility Engineer Facility Engineer HVAC shall maintain operation and cleanliness of the BGIF entry area including exterior entry steps and ramp, handrails, doors and windows, and outside break area adjacent to BGIF entry ramp. Provide facility support on-site during normal business hours Monday to Friday 0800-1600 local time. Facility Engineer Electricians On-site facility support team shall have at least one certified Facility Engineer HVAC and one individual who is HVAC certified. These two positions are considered "Key" on this contract. Conduct inspections at the appropriate level of thoroughness and frequency (daily, weekly, monthly, and annual - each to be determined in coordination with the Government) on the BGIF power and cooling systems (i.e., generators, uninterruptable power supply, switching gear, and computer room air conditioning (CRAC) units), and conduct preventative/corrective maintenance as needed to include procurement of supplies and commodities necessary to conduct the maintenance. Create and present to the government at ATP+120 days a BGIF Maintenance Plan and update it annually (CDRL A006). The plan shall include preventative maintenance actions, approved upgrades to power, cooling or any other facility system to enable 99.96%uptime for power and cooling systems within the purview of Facility Engineer Electrician. At a minimum this purview includes: All server room cooling and power systems from the utility power entry point through the power connection to all racks in BGIF server rooms (including any redundancies). Facility Engineer Facility Engineer HVAC shall plan, receive prior BGIF Director approval for, and execute facility down time, nominally on a quarterly basis, associated with facilities, power, HVAC, major enhancements, construction or other functional areas.
