Monitors, maintains, and controls the safe, healthy, and environmentally sound operations of the Gas Processing Plant.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

  • Self-motivated.
  • Reviews and monitors prior shift, to check for accuracy, daily computer log and scan process board.
  • Familiar with all facility components and operations, including power generation, turbines, compressors, exchangers, process vessels, instrumentation, etc.
  • Able to work alone; acknowledging, responding to, and initiating corrections/actions to process alarms within a complicated and highly automated plant and control system.
  • Able to make solo decisions on process variables to produce spec product at current rates and conditions.
  • Monitors and maintains process conditions, makes changes as necessary and records in daily logbook.
  • Communicate and work with all plant, and 3rd party company personnel personnel for daily operation of the gas plant systems.
  • Assist with ongoing maintenance and general housekeeping of the control room.
  • Able to procure necessary materials and supplies to complete daily tasks.
  • Monitors and maintains logs of meter readings, test results, and adjustments made.
  • Maintains safe and healthy work environment by adhering to legal and environmental regulations, and conducting inspections.
  • Assist in investigating faulty machinery/mechanical equipment, refer to equipment manuals, and makes appropriate work orders in the maintenance management system when necessary.
  • Clean and lubricating mechanical equipment to keep it running properly.
  • Monitors and reads gauges to verify sufficient levels of fluids, pressures, and temperatures.
  • Take and analyze water and amine samples.
  • Enter data for daily reports.
  • Familiar with Computerized Maintenance Management System.
  • Participates in new employee training program.
  • Utilizes and maintains personal protective equipment.
  • Knowledgeable in Site Specific Emergency Response Plan.

Qualifications:

  • Ability to work solo on a 12-hour rotating schedule which includes days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Has successfully completed the San Juan Gas Plant Operations Training.
  • Operated a cryogenic gas processing plant for 3 years or more.
  • Ability to cover shifts with Overtime if needed.
  • Ability to accurately troubleshoot and solve problems.
  • Ability to complete multiple, diverse tasks of differing priorities.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Basic mathematic, computer and good administrative and organizational skills
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, supervisors, other departments, officials, and the public.
  • Ability to maintain the integrity of the plant process.

Education Requirements:

  • Graduation from a high school or GED equivalent or any equivalent combination of education and experience demonstrating sufficient knowledge, ability, and skill to handle the duties and responsibilities of the position.
