POSITION SUMMARY The Recovery Specialist Supervisor provides day to day supervision, coaching and discipline for an assigned team of Recovery Specialists. The Recovery Specialist Supervisor coordinates and participates in all elements of direct care on the assigned shift. Shifts Available: Full Time 36 hours per week | 9 hours per day | Hours Approx. 8:00am - 5:30pm Required to work either Saturday or Sunday: Wed-Sat OR Fri-Mon OR Sun-Wed. Will discuss further in interview Expected starting wage range is $24.18 - $29.88. Position salary range max is $35.58. Telecare applies geographic differentials to its pay ranges. The pay range assigned to this role will be based on the geographic location from which the role is performed. Starting pay is commensurate with relevant experience above the minimum requirements. QUALIFICATIONS Required:
- BA/BS in behavioral sciences field with two (2) year inpatient experience OR a high school diploma and one (1) year as a Lead Recovery Specialist II with three (3) years inpatient experience OR a high school diploma with at least four (4) years' experience in a behavioral health setting with two (2) of those years being inpatient experience. May substitute an AA in behavioral science or equivalent credits for one (1) year of experience.
- Meets requirements for Washington State Agency Affiliated Counselor credential
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must be CPR, Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI), and First Aid certified on date of employment or within 60 days of employment and maintain current certification throughout employment
- All opportunities at Telecare are contingent upon successful completion and receipt of acceptable results of the applicable post-offer physical examination, 2-step PPD test for tuberculosis, acceptable criminal background clearances, excluded party sanctions, and degree or license verification. If the position requires driving, valid driver license, a motor vehicle clearance and proof of auto insurance is required at time of employment and must be maintained throughout employment. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Demonstrate the Telecare mission, purpose, values and beliefs in everyday language and contact with the internal and external stakeholders
- Establishes, maintains, and co-facilitates a therapeutic relationship with members served; acts as a role model by maintaining a hopeful and positive attitude and problem solving and coping with mental illness
- Provides safe, effective, and efficient implementation of direct care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and standards of care
- Supervises staff by providing timely feedback, coaching, and performance reviews
- Partners with Clinical Director, Director of Nursing or Program Administrator to create and deliver trainings and ensures direct reports receive required information and skill development
- Participates in the hiring process with guidance and approval from Clinical Director and Program Administrator
- On-boards new team members
- Ensures team members meet required core competencies
- Ensures clear and concise shift report/hand-off meetings, written logs, and any other communication means the program employs for teams to perform at a high level
- Ensures tasks and duties are completed by designated team members
- Develops and provides leadership for program groups
- Participates as a team member and provides input via reporting observations and concerns, and asking appropriate questions
- Attends and participates in community meetings and groups
- Documents client activities of daily living, response to interventions, and significant behavior changes as appropriate
- Admits and discharges clients as assigned; this includes completing associated documentation
- Reviews and implements client treatment plans
- Actively participates in multidisciplinary team meetings and treatment planning meetings
- Demonstrates knowledge of Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) techniques
- Provides individual and group skill building in accordance with the client service plan
- Charts and observes client behavior
- Assists members served with hygienic care
- Recovery Specialist Supervisors do not provide clinical supervision
- Practices body substance precautions at all times
- Ensures required documentation is completed within designated time frames including adverse event documentation, clinical documentation and rounding.
- Provides resident safety via monitoring including but not limited to rounds and seclusion and restraint supervision.
- Obtains client vital signs and weights, as assigned
- Collects stool, urine and other specimens as requested on assigned clients
- Assists at mealtime by distributing meal trays, pouring beverages, and/or feeding members served in need of assistance
- Provides client monitoring including, but not limited to, rounds, seclusion and restraint supervision and smoke breaks
- Assists in client outings, which may include driving

Program Type: Acute To Make Referrals: Referrals can come from any designated crisis responder (DCR) within in the state of Washington. In adherence with established admission criteria, Telecare North Sound E&T staff will review pending referrals for medical care needs, safety, and security to ensure the appropriate means of service. # of Beds: 16 Beds Who We Serve: Adults ages 18 and older diagnosed with a serious mental illness who reside primarily in the North Sound Region of Washington.
We Cannot Accept: Sexually violent offenders being detained pursuant to RCW 71.09 or high-risk sex offenders classified by the local law enforcement agencies, or any individual with any pending (not dismissed or otherwise disposed) felony charge shall be excluded from admission. Individuals released on a Temporary Release (TR) may be considered for admission on a case-by-case basis after consultation with the DCR. Hours of Operation: Open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week About the Program: We believe recovery starts from within, and that our job is to do whatever it takes to provide the support needed on your recovery journey. Our 16-bed secure facility includes a full staff of registered nurses, clinicians, peer specialists, and social workers on call 24 hours a day to provide wrap-around support.
