- Ensure that photonic integrated circuit performance requirements are met at the system level
- Interact with design, test, controls, reliability, and manufacturing to define calibration methods and performance screens
- Perform statistical data analysis on large data sets to characterize and improve the product
- Support quality analysis and evaluation of development, proto, and pilot units
- Drive improvements in product quality during the pilot ramp
- M.S. degree + 5+ years' experience or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering (electronics, electro-optics), Materials Science, Photonics, or Physics (optics, semiconductors) + 2+ years' experience in photonic integration
- Experience with III-V or related optoelectronic device physics and design. Working knowledge of device fabrication, materials, and epi is desirable.
- Working knowledge of optical and coherent signal test methods
- Aptitude to work with a large body of data, perform statistical analysis, and present data and ideas to a diverse audience
- Team-oriented with the ability to work cross-functionally
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
