| Position Description: |
The University of Iowa's College of Dentistry is conducting a search for a full-time Pharmacist. This is a full-time clinical or tenure-track faculty position in the Department of Oral Pathology, Radiology & Medicine. Major responsibilities:
- manage the daily operation of the dental pharmacy including inventory management;
- dispense medications and supervise pharmacy student interns;
- formulate and prepare compounded non-sterile prescription medications;
- provide drug therapy consultation support for College of Dentistry faculty, staff, and students;
- mentor both IPPE and APPE pharmacy students; and
- teach and provide seminars at the College of Dentistry and College of Pharmacy to both pre-doc and post-doc students as assigned.
Successful candidates will be required to self-disclose any misconduct history or pending research misconduct investigation including but not limited to sexual misconduct in prior employment and provide a related release and will be subject to a criminal background and credential check.

| Education Requirement: |
- Pharm.D. degree from an ACPE accredited College of Pharmacy.
|
| Required Qualifications: |
- Iowa Board of Pharmacy License;
- completion of a PGY-1 Residency or equivalent clinical experience;
- experience formulating and dispensing compounded medications;
- experience operating a retail pharmacy; and
- experience teaching pharmacy students in clinical and didactic settings.

| Certifications: |
- BCPS or BCACP Board Certification or Eligibility; and
- ACP/APhA Certified Immunization Pharmacist.
|
| Desirable Qualifications: |
- experience with collaborative practice agreements;
- experience with pharmacy staff development;
- proficient in the Pioneer Pharmacy Operations System; and
- successful record of obtaining state or local grants for patient care projects.
