DIVISION: Operations DEPARTMENT: Southborough UNION/GRADE: Unit 2/Grade 17 TO VIEW OUR BENEFITS PLEASE CLICK ON THE LINK! - https://www.mwra.com/02org/html/benefits.htm BASIC PURPOSE: Inspects, troubleshoots, maintains, and installs mechanical, electrical, electro-mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment for the repair and maintenance of all vehicles and mobile equipment. SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: A valid Massachusetts Commercial Driver's License Class B is required. A Class "A" Driver's License is preferred. A valid Massachusetts Office of Public Safety and Inspections Hoisting Engineers license with endorsement 1B (Equipment with telescoping booms with or without wire ropes), 2A (Crawler and rubber-tired excavators, backhoes and loaders, and equipment), 4G (Specialty Side Boom Mower) to be obtained within twelve months. TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT USED: Hand tools, telephone, and personal computer including word processing and other software, copy and fax machine. While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in an office environment. The employee occasionally works in outside weather conditions. The employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts and is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions and vibration. The employee occasionally works in high, precarious places and is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud in field settings, and moderately quiet in office settings.
