Kyocera has a temp-to-hire position for an Warehouse Assistant 1 at our Hendersonville, NC facility.

Candidates selected for hire will be hired through one of Kyocera's approved staffing partners.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITION

The Warehouse Assistant 1 works under close supervision, performs warehouse work related to receipt, shipment, storage, distribution, or delivery of products, parts, and materials. Loads, unloads, moves, or stores items according to delivery or routing documents, or supervisor instructions. Accurately records shipments and packaging as assigned by other members. Assists with any warehouse activities needed to include cleaning, inventory, and packaging.

REQUIREMENTS
High school graduation or GED

Ability to stand, walk, bend for up to 8 hour per day

May lift up to 50 lbs routinely
Minimum of 6 months of experience in a warehouse or packing environment

Pass drug and background check

Eligible to work in an ITAR environment


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES



  1. Receives and delivers materials, supplies and equipment to production areas or stockroom area.
  2. Makes sure that the finished goods received from production department are placed in cardboard box according to certification.
  3. Verifies materials against receiving documents, noting and reporting discrepancies and obvious damages.
  4. Routes materials to prescribed storage locations, storing, stacking, or palletizing materials in accordance with prescribed storage methods.
  5. Rearranges and takes inventory of stored material to identify discrepancies, location, and mark up working documents as back up for auditing purposes.
  6. Examines stored materials and reporting deterioration and damage.
  7. Removes material from storage and professionally packs it for shipment as assigned.
  8. Ensures all warehouse safety standards are followed and executed.
  9. Operates a hand truck, forklift, or other heavy equipment after training.
  10. Regularly in contact with receiving members and supervisor.
  11. Verifies that any paperwork provide by shipping assistant/specialist match with the product.
  12. Performs security procedures, locks doors and racks as assigned.
  13. May be trained on a variety of machines and software including SAP.


Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.
