About the role

Reporting directly to the Facility Manager, the Operations Reliability Engineer will be responsible for Plant Operations support, Asset Improvement Project Engineering, Boiler Reliability support during outages, and design requirements related to equipment troubleshooting. The Engineer will provide subject matter expertise across functional teams while driving technical standardization.

Key responsibilities:

* Lead projects by developing technical specifications and work scope documents, assisting in the preparation of bid packages, and evaluating vendor bids for technical capability and feasibility.

* Lead the engineering input in the execution of multidisciplinary projects.

* Perform process evaluation and develop technical solutions to enhance facility operations including production improvements. Develop design documentation, including drawings. Perform design review of deliverables developed by external partners and suppliers.

* Conduct plant performance testing in support of system evaluation and design initiatives. Testing programs include boiler performance, reagent efficiency, structural integrity, and air pollution control system tramp air testing.

* Collaborate with the Corporate and Regional Engineering team for plant support and prioritization of tasks.

* Monitor and trend plant performance through analysis of operating data, thermodynamic principles, and heat balance design.

* Participate in Root Cause Analyses (RCA's) of failures.

* Ensure incorporation of Reworld and industry standard safety requirements into the design of all assigned projects.

Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree in mechanical or chemical engineering.

* 3-5 years engineering experience

* Experience with electrical power generation in large utility power plants or large industrial co-generation facilities, preferred

* Must have proficiency in developing and understanding technical documents such as P&ID, Technical Specifications, GA Drawings, Dimensional Drawings.

* Must have experience with all phases of a project lifecycle including preliminary conceptual system design, scoping, detailed design, equipment selection, equipment testing and start-up problem resolution. The equipment includes power plant and process plant equipment.

* Proficiency in engineering software such as CAD/AutoCAD.

* Must have effective written and oral communication skills in English; must be able to analyze data, write technical reports, and develop work packages to implement recommendations and the ability to handle multiple assignments.

Physical Demands:

* Ability to walk, stand, sit, and climb

* Ability to lift/carry 50lbs

* Ability to work from heights and in confined spaces

* Qualify to wear a full-face respirator

* Consistently work in various weather conditions

Schedule:

Monday through Friday days; will require additional days during outages and plant upsets
